Women are currently being told that shiney, glowy skin looks good on EVERYONE. I'm a professional interior designer, and here's what I KNOW. Shiney finishes like glossy paint highlight imperfections on any surface! Including skin. ONLY put the shine on the areas where your skin is smooth. Use matte finish in areas you have wrinkles, like around the lips and crows feet around eyes. Save the glow for cheeks. JMHO

As soon as I hear something is “life changing” “greatest new product” “must have” ; I usually swipe or click off. I am know longer interested in it because these are the new buzz words most companies pay influencers to say, and ends up being a very disingenuous review of a product. So few actual product reviews are honest because the influencer doesn’t want to be taken off the PR list or are contractually bound to only give a positive review. More of an ingredient (or layered in multiple skincare/makeup products) is not always better, especially for irritation prone skin. Also a part of my brain is just bothered by the idea of applying more skincare on top of my sunscreen. Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧 Abbey 👋 I’m soooo glad I’ve found YOUR channel. These ‘influencers’ in all honesty have the opposite effect of what it is they’re trying to achieve when it comes to me. Their lighting, filters etc on their videos are completely farcical. Everything will look fab with filters and lighting - do people think viewers are dumb?! Your videos have good lighting. I like that you do wear tests and report back. I’m still hunting for the perfect eye brow products for me. I’m fair, and trying to find these products for fair brows that aren’t red, warm, or grey is not working out. I really appreciate your honesty when you review products. It annoys me how often people and brands mixup bronzer and contour! It's not rocket science. While being a fair, cool-leaning neutral myself, I appreciate a more neutral, rosy-toned bronzer, I still know to use bronzer to add warmth to the areas of my face where the sun would naturally hit. I also have contour that is very cool and definitely gray. I would not put bronzer in the hollow of my cheeks nor would I put contour on the tops of my cheek bones. It seems so intuitive and I don't get why people don't get it...

I think so many people have forgotten that they can admit that things are just okay. It doesn’t have to be amazing or horrible. To me that’s the most likely outcome for most products since brands keep releasing product after product so they can say they have something new, not necessarily something unique. I also think that’s partially our fault as consumers who tend to chase the newest shiny thing. I’ve heard the CT stick described as the Hollywood Flawless Filter in a stick. So I guess it gives you a choice for delivery but otherwise it’s not really new at all.

Abbey, I appreciate your honesty and was particularly interested in your review on the IT cosmetics cc cream in the natural matte variety. You said there were better products basically. Can you please let us know what you'd recommend? Because I'm looking for that lightweight feel without sacrificing nice looking skin.

Hi Abbey, I did see that Nikki LaRose did a short clip for the Rare Beauty powder, and mentioned it is just a finishing powder. I’m not a fan of having to use multiple different powders, that is probably why it worked like that for you.

The Tarte Creaseless and Haus Labs concealers are my favorites this year as well.

Agree. Tom Ford is insanely overpriced. The products are excellent and the packaging is lux, but I am done with the company until they adjust their prices.

Loved all the reviews. Thank you! I will say I have personally really enjoyed the GIVE Beauty blushes. I find them very easy to work with -- pigmented enough but sheer and easy to blend. The "Purple Irises" shade is just perfect on me, and does not look purple. They've been on sale at Sephora. I already have two and might pick up another one.

This was a great review! I just tried that Haus Labs blush at Sephora last Friday and added it to my favorites. I’m glad you really like it because right now feel compelled to get it now. 😏

I LOVE the Gwen Stefani lipgloss, I bought the Hibiscus shade. It last longer than most of my lipglosses because it’s sticky.

I thought that Saie product sucked as well. I'm pretty pale, so finding the right bronzer can be tricky. I tried wearing it underneath foundation or on top & it did nothing either way. Great video btw! Excited to try some products based off your review 💄

I got the GXVE Dewy Collagen blush in Bouquet, and I absolutely love it! I only need one layer, so I haven’t run into any blending issues. I hate that your experience wasn’t as positive as mine!

Thank you for reviewing everything I have dry skin so I was interested in the Charlotte Tilbury stick. I tried it on in Sephora and was trying other foundation products. I bought the Ilia stick because th CT was so emollient and just slid around. I have a store credit I can only use in the store and might go back and get it just because I want a non highlighter glow product that I think it might work as. The Ilia foundation and concealing stick is fabulous. It blends in so well and looks like skin. I love it. I’ve been looking for a new lip liner and just put two shades of the Maybelline liner in my Amazon cart. They look perfect. I hate spending a lot of money on liners.

I’d love to know how the GVXE DewyPlump Collagen Lip Gel compare to the Lawless Forget the Filler Lip Plumper Line Smoothing Gloss (Velvet is my fave shade)! I love the thickness & long lasting nature of the Lawless lip plumper gloss, but mostly how they give this amazing glazed icing smooth reflective cushion to the lips (to me it most resembles the ultra smooth reflective cushion of the glazed icing on a doughnut🍩). I’ve heard good things about the GVXE DewyPlumps, and they sound like they’d have similar characteristics, but maybe they’re not as long lasting as the Lawless since you say the thickness fades quickly?

Great reviews! I appreciate your in depth analysis and recommendations of what has worked well drugstore or high end! I’ve tried a lot of your hair product recommendations that are now staples for me. I will be checking out the lifter pencil and possibly the hay’s labs glassy blush ! Thank you for your hard work!

The rare beauty powder is a finishing powder. It is meant as a final step .It is NOT meant to set makeup. Try setting with your normal powder then using it after, I have noticed quite a beautiful blurring effect doing this.

I’ve heard pretty good things about the tarte concealer. The fact that you like it is making me think I should try it
