There’s a line in a Moe Bandy song “a steel guitar in a dim lit bar knows exactly how I feel” . I totally identify with that.

I never thought of playing pedal steel in a swivel chair, but wow! I've been searching for a way to be more comfortable behind this beast, and it seems like being able to move your lower body may be the ticket. Great playing, by the way

I was thinking the same thing buddy, I'm a big guy and getting up into HueyLand past the belly can be a stretch lol. just a slight swivel would do the job.

Hi Stephen. I have watched this video so many times! Love it. I have a question. What is that change you have that seem to lower string 7 (?) at 00:17. I would love to have that on my guitar. Also, what knee lever you have that change on? Regards, Cristiano
@cristianopochesci5780 Жыл бұрын
Also, the change that lead you into the chord at 00:35 ! Haha Sorry about these questions but these are types of changes I don't have and would love to start using!

Great Playing and very nice tone. Can you tell me where you got the Instrumental track to play with?
@michaelj.sullivan19682 жыл бұрын
After tabbing this song to share on the Steel Guitar Forum, I asked Stephen the same question and he said that he made it himself. Unfortunately, he did this recording from a homemade backing track made by someone else, so he was unable to share it.

I like your playing. But the tone is way harsh. Much more than it needs to be. It sounds like it could be the pick up or and hand placement. The frequency is right about 1K.. Very difficult to listen to.. But you play pretty good
@djparsons7363 Жыл бұрын
This is pretty good but I think it's too whiney for my taste. I like the melody more defined but to each his own.
