Not all mystery writers have had actual experience as private investigators, but it’s worked for Winslow. Winner of the Raymond Chandler Award and the author of some seventeen novels, one of which, Savages, using Winslow’s screenplay, was filmed by Oliver Stone, Winslow now continues the story he began in his gripping 2005 The Power of the Dog. Having put a top Mexican drug lord in prison, DEA agent Art Keller retires. His peace and quiet come to an abrupt end when the convict is transferred from a U.S. to a Mexican prison and violence erupts again-as does Keller’s own struggle with drugs.

Ridley Scott is producing The Cartel, I am not excited because he is inconsistent with the quality of his films.

I HATE introductions. We are not interested in the person doing the introduction. They rarely have anything of importance to say. and simply cut into the time of the speaker. We want to hear the author. At least it wasn't someone introducing the person who would do the introduction. Those really drive me crazy..

Very interesting/ it's funny how the people that are sitting there and the audience look like they're "completely clueless" and bored out of their mind, but they're just sitting there it doesn't seem like anybody there "read the book" they're just there to be polite I guess..... I guess it would be better if he spoke at a college or something like that.... Where people were very much informed about his books, because these people look pathetic incredibly pathetic🙄🥴
