This podcast introduced me to Barthelme. I put it on cassette for my car tape player and would listen to it over and over again when I’d do three-hour long road trips to gigs. How Atrium reads it is basically how I read it in my head. I tried listening to Barthelme’s reading of it, but I just couldn’t get through it. Atrium just thrust into it all the personality and love and shine of the story. Barthelme is my second favorite author, and it’s all because of this podcast

A rather pointless story, in my opinion. And the two of them didn't seem to have much to say about it either...I think "Barthleme" is misspelled, makes it not appear in searches.

The story isn't pointless and his name is not misspelled. The commentary is not great, but it's also very short and is not strictly an analysis of the text.

The story is brimming with significance. There is, of course, a satire of urban planning and the designs of civil engineers. I hope you have revisited the story in these past four years.
