How on earth did it take 34 years to recover him. It's like 80 feet off the shore of a lake, not in the middle of the English Channel for God sakes.

He blew up along with his speed boat, and they found most of him immedatly the rest of him however, was harder, and to this day, they still had not found his head.

The Navy divers found Bluebird K7 within a day or two ,but not Donald's body After speaking to the family His wishes were if something went wrong, he was to stay with the boat. If his body was found by the Navy divers, he and his boat would have been raised in 1967 The Bluebird K7 would be returned to the family, no doubt.

If only Donald had stopped to be refuelled and had waited for the waves from his first run to dissipate He may have done it, but thinking to himself he had enough fuel to make a second run and fuels weight He went for it... Yes, he could have waited until the water was calm again. It was all or nothing ... Donald Campbell was tragically killed, but he was one of the bravest man Britain has ever known. There will never be speed King like him again. The Bluebird k7 needs to return to the Ruskin museum in Coniston to be with the skipper who is buried nearby.

@@grahamkitchen6650 I dont think she was that close to him at all . She was always away at boarding school ,she may of loved him but dont give me this loved him dearly line . She in my opinion has made everybody aware of who she is . A nobody like most of us .

@stevenwade7466 Harsh ... She was only 17 years old When her dad was killed I'm sure when she spent time with him , she had fond memories of him . Her mother was a nightclub singer , and Donald was a speed king. So she went to a boarding school, To have a morning telephone call with news of her dad's death. If you love someone who dies tragically, wouldn't you keep their memories alive ✨️ ♥️. R.I.P Donald Campbell

@@grahamkitchen6650 He wasn't left to rest in peace though was he ? The boat & Donald should both of been left in Coniston water . Instead of the pantomime of his burial at Coniston . If he had not crashed he would not of been so keenly remembered me thinks . People are so fickle .
