I think that was crazy he did that. There should absolutely be no discrimination in general, but there needs to be protection for people around hiring practices. That blew my mind when I heard he did that

No there doesn’t, cause in 2025 there isn’t any discrimination like 1965 and if there is you probably shouldn’t be working there in the first place, ( small company ) because the reality is big companies and government will hire the best people, whether black, purple or orange. If you’re good, if you know what you’re talking about, that will be what gets you the job, no more hiring people because we have no choice because we need to meet a quota.

@@Stanley-ox8qrthe law will make America more efficient, no longer will women be hired for the purpose of filling a role that the government said they need to fill. If that woman is good she gets that job because she’s good not because she’s a woman. It’s going to bring more competition. This has happened mostly in unions, unqualified people getting jobs they don’t deserve taking spaces from the people who actually kick ass. So it’s a breathe of fresh air no more city requirements I’m telling you this as someone who’s not white, a lot of companies have been firing they’re white people to put in people of different sexual preferences. A lot of weird stuff but it’s over now. Minorities will be fine, especially after deportations there is going to be a lot of opportunity

It's so funny that they're trying to say everything is going to be based off merit, but the whole purpose of these acts was to allow a playing field where it can be based solely off of merit and nothing else. I tell people this all the time. There's a reason why HBCUs exist not because black people wanted to be different but because it gave us an opportunity that places like Penn State, upenn, Harvard, etc would never give us

A law does nothing. Literally every HR discriminates against people. I have worked for companies with Black, Mexican, Asian, and White HR employees. They always came back and talked shit about the people they just interviewed. Law or not, it won't change anything. You have to prove discrimination, and its insanely hard to do so.

Coming from someone who’s mostly conservative, I actually agree with you there likely is still discrimination when it comes to employing people, maybe not as much at larger corporations, but I could most definitely see it happening more frequently at smaller companies. However, even with this law I doubt it would stop it from occurring. (They would just make up excuses to deny hiring, instead of directly saying it.) At the same time, when you’re forcing a company to have a certain % of minorities, there’s potential they would be forced into hiring people that aren’t fully as up to task for the job just to meet a quota.

I'd rather have someone who doesn't deserve the job to get the job than someone who DOES deserve the job get denied because of who they are. Same principle applies to due process. I'd rather release 10 guilty men than imprison one innocent man. Use your brain

If someone is racist at a small company, you don’t want to work there. So this doesn’t matter, what matters is larger corporations but we both know in 2025 that’s not going to happen, this just means people need to tighten up their jockstraps and get to work.

@@lunargeographertruth is we all discriminate, some people hate conservatives, some people hate liberals, some people don’t like Indians, some people don’t like whites, I don’t like my own people who are ghetto and live off section 8 and don’t contribute anything to society and if I’m starting my company, I’m not hiring nobody like that. That’s me so I would also understand if someone didn’t want to hire me because I voted for Trump wear it proudly. We’re trying to tell the government to police something that shouldn’t be in their control, when I see blacks starting businesses they’re hiring black people, putting their people on, when Jews do it they put their people on. Are we going to start getting angry at Jews for not putting nobody else on? They never will , so it’s not something that can even be forced. It’s natural inclination, I only agree with you when it comes to government and big corporations, they hire a lot of people. Especially like Amazon where we see them getting billion dollar tax breaks. But these companies aren’t going to not hire people cause of their color that’s just not going to happen in 2025 we have to be realistic

Technically, but there are still unions that would probably Sue and fight. Here's a better way to describe it, let's say you have a position, but they refuse to promote you or move you to other teams per your request. Even better let's say they create new teams and coincidentally those teams are just straight up White. No woman. No other races, just white, and not just white but all buddies and really there's nothing you can do about it because there's no protections around making it an actual meritocracy

I think at one point this was needed, but in 2025 it just doesn’t seem to exist, America isn’t racist. I would say it’s more culture based, people hate certain cultures because it doesn’t mix well with them and their culture, which is okay. We don’t have to all like each other, but we’re far more tolerant and accepting of each others differences than ever before. But I also feel there’s many people trying to bring discrimination back, trying to tear apart what we’ve built by putting us against each other. And to a certain extent if I own a company nobody should tell me, if I wanted to hire only Puerto Ricans, only blacks, only whites, it’s really nobodies business if it’s my company, I might want a certain culture, maybe that culture can still be in place if I had all kinds of people but people that subscribe to the same morals and likes. I mean this happened to me, I was super qualified for this job and they didn’t want me because I’m not a guy in a big truck who talks a certain way and acts a certain way so they said they found someone and immediately after I found another company making more money that was my exact fit with the people there. So it’s really not a problem, I think Americans overall aren’t obsessed with race but unfortunately the news keeps making it that way Love the videos, nothing but respect

I’m not saying I agree, or disagree, but if you want a better understanding of the logic behind this then watch Elon Musk’s interview with Don Lemon. Don asks Elon about his stance on DEI, especially for companies with federal contracts like SpaceX, and Elon basically said that people should be hired for these positions based on their skills, personality, etc. rather than perhaps being hired over a more qualified candidate because a company has to meet a certain quota for ethnicity hires. Musk and many others think that DEI programs essentially end up causing this, thus leading to companies not having the maximum output they could have if they only hired strictly based on qualification, personality (working with a team), and so on.

So just because discrimination still exists that automatically justifies this revocation or means that it doesn’t matter? That is a very bad mindset to have especially as a person of color yourself (I am one as well). Even though discrimination exists that doesn’t mean this won’t make it harder for minority groups to get jobs and equal opportunities. At least you admit that this sets us back as a Country, because it absolutely does.

This in particular I would need to look more into but the move away from DEI is needed. We have police officers and politicians and teachers in our country unqualified for their jobs that are getting those jobs simply to comply with DEI. It’s a problem when hiring isn’t based on merit and qualification.
