I'm going to suggest the possibility of 4D chess being played here. Timeline: 1. Trump nominates Gaetz as AG (Media and Dems can't talk about _anything else_ since) 2. Gaetz _immediately_ resigns from Congress, _immediately_ shutting down his ethics investigation. Nominees do not usually resign immediately. Almost never. 3. Trump nominates his personal attorney for _Deputy_ AG. (under Gaetz?) 4. Trump nominates _another_ of his personal attorneys as Solicitor General. (under Gaetz?) Does anyone else see the incongruity here? What's up with the Gaetz nomination? Is it rope-a-dope? Is it a shiny object to distract the media? Trump, and his advisors, are WAY TOO CLEVER for me to believe this at face value.
