It's Britain as a whole that this insanity is happening! I was a police sergeant for 25 years. I would hope I would have had the cojones to return this enquiry back to whomever sent it down to be investigated, having attached a minute saying something akin to what Alison had to say to the hapless goons who knocked on her door. It has been held (numerous times) that the police are not obliged to investigate crimes or even as in this case a non-crime incidents.
