If you know the meaning behind the lyrics and the scene, your mind even blown. In mandarin, there's a quote "出于泥而不染", this MV is about exoressing the meaning of this quote. Lay who is climbing out from a indecent circumstances, no matter how hard how dark the situation give him, he's not going down, never dragging down by anything or anyone that devalued him. No compromisation, no back down, fight it off by himself without explain more to anyone. Never change himself just to fit into the crowd even with the pressure of social norm. He is pure, he's honesty, he's good attitude, don't doubt it man. It's all real. It's who he is. When you learn his pass, man, this guy is a legend by himself. He could achieve anything, being as a trainee years before this, his daily routine was doing the dance practice for 16hrs, another 4 hrs for languages and vocal routine, 4 hrs of sleep everyday, literally living this lifestyle for more than 3 years. Then after debut, he's still keeping this hard-core habit to use up his time wisely by upgrading his soft skill, study an economic course, business course, etc, still 4 hrs sleep every night. From being a follower to a leader, he is successful. He has established his entertainment business all by himself, from the business planning idea to literally establish a company, now he has more than that. Not just a producer, a song writer, a beatmaker, a lyric writer, music producer, an actor, a boss, a leader, a professional dancer who passionate in promoting krump, .... this guy is scary! This year, not long time ago, Lay had put out a new video called "Flying Apsaras" which is related to one of the world culture heritage place in Gansu Province, China. The heritage includes a lot grotten and on the wall of these grotten there are a lot of beautiful women gods who show beautiful gestures called "Flying Apsaras". It came from Buddhism which Chinese learned originally from Indian around 629 AC in Tang Dynasty. Lay's video and dance practice are absolutely like fresh wind in the world of MV and street and KPop dance. He has his own charismatic character and the distinguishing sound and music. There are already a lot of professionals who had reacted to his new video. If you guys can do some homework and read something about at the heritage place "Mogao Grotten" , you could probably give the best and most informative reaction of "Flying Apsaras"! Lay has been on the music seen since 2012 debuted with k pop group EXO. My one of my favorites in the group. China and Korea had a falling out so Lay had to stay in China but still considers himself as part of EXO, they're all very tight. Lay has been doing his own thing since then. He's a very accomplished dancer, singer and puts a lot of his own money into his productions. Lit means Lotus Flower a cultural symbol of growth because it grows in the mud. A Chinese religious belief of the duality of life and death. I like the simpler explanation, Lay is just Lit in this video.😁

He produce his own music, use his own money for this mv (which is a lot). He can sing ballads, pops, rap... Everything. His is Chinese but he is actually from a Korean boygroup called EXO but because of political issues, Lay is doing solo music. He also just established his own company for young kids who wants to be idols. He is also a super amazing dancer. He was always interest in krump but never actually learn it. But for this mv, he learned from a krump master, tight eyez (they are best friend now lol). He leant for about 6 months but he made it look like he has been doing it for his entire life. A lot of people were shocked with his krumping and has gain a lot of respect especially from underground dancers in china. Lay is awesome! His real name is Zhang Yixing and he has his own company in China but he's still a member of EXO. He hadn't been actively participating in EXO activities since 2017 or something (due to political scuffle between Korea and China) and during that time, he's built a solid solo career for himself in China. But that being said, he did participate in EXO's latest comeback (more like a fan fare), though not physically (green screened😃), thus kind of ending the long drought of his absence for EXO-Ls. Lay is part of the 3rd season alongside with Wallace Chung, Wang Yibo, and Jackson Wang (which u should check out too cus Jackson is another great artist). It’s a Chinese dancing competition show and it’s CRAZY! It contains many types of dancing such as popping, bboying, krump, jazz, locking, hip pop, etc. and you’ll see all of these styles together as each groups go against each other.
