It's a writing idea that a lot of skilled authors do, take an absurd idea, and ground it into reality as much as possible, which is what shows like Madoka Magica, ReZero, and Death Note excel in.

My favourite anime is full metal alchemist, it has great story and character development and actually addresses what you said about how magic is used in fiction as a answer to anything. In the show characters primarily fight using alchemy which is kind of like magic but follows strict rules. This makes fights seem very clever as the opponents actually find out a way to use alchemy in an unexpected way instead of randomly making up a new spell.

My favorite will always be Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It’s a dark but incredibly compelling story with some insane action. I also I highly recommend Demon Slayer. The animation is gorgeous, the fight scenes are nuts, and the story is excellent. Fantastic video, keep up the good work 😁

Those are some good recommendations. What counts as "magic" is a bit weird, but I'd he's referring to spell casting with a lot of abilities, Mob Psycho and Death Note are really good. Great Pretender and Demon Slayer are also pretty good.

Your on the same level of anime likeness as me and I would HIGHLY SUGGEST watching a few more naruto episodes and go through a filler guide. I'm gonna be the weirdo who doesn't really watch anime but goes ahead and recommends what they've been watching recently, which absolutely won't be to your taste from what you talked about in your video. But Astro Boy (1980) is genuinely entertaining. It's very classic anime (even though the series was made much later than the comic, or the classic black and white series) but it does still have a lot of heart and extremely creative/interesting stories
