Amazfit Bip S vs Amazfit GTS | Which should you buy?

What I love about my bip is that the transflective screen allows for longer battery standby time. I like this because i and don't see my self charging a watch every day or even ever week. I wish they continue to update the bip and release a version with newer tech inside like oxygen and blood pressure tracking and day time sleep tracking.

The biggest difference is that the GTS runs an amoled display whereas the S is a *transflective* LCD display, which is why it has such good battery life yet can stay on for a week of heavy use.

I wish the GTS had been out when I got my Apple Watch or I may have bought that instead. I had the Bip before and liked the battery life but finally gave into the vanity of wanting something with an OLED screen.

The question is: which one is more accurate and consistent... That's more important than screen quality as we aren't going to watch any media content on it... Yes battery is a major point and so is the sunlight visibility.

I mentioned in the video that both have been consistent in terms of GPS and heart rate. Both are always within .01 of a mile for each mile in comparison to other GPS watches I’ve tested them with (mostly my Apple Watch Series 5).

Visibility on the GTS is fantastic .. I was planning to go for bip s or bip s light but got the GTS instead for double the price... But must say it's worth every penny of it...

PS I lost my original Bip. I was tempted by the GTS, the GTR 47 is too large. But for taking it in the ocean, better take the cheaper one, as you never know. Functions seem almost the same. The original Bip had no swimming function, GPS acquisition was slow, Bluetooth would sometimes not connect easily to the phone

Does the bip S give an pace notification at every mile when running. I recently got the Garmin insinct solar and that's the only thing I really want on my watch. The watch is to big for me as an all day watch. I'm considering either the Fenix S or the forerunner. I have to have a bear minium of at least a week battery life using gps right under 20 hours a week.

It does give you a vibration at a interval that you set (you can set it at every mile, or every KM, or even every 5K if you want). The Bip S does not give a sound notification like my Garmin watches do though, just a vibration (which is pretty easy to notice though).

I bought my business partner the GTS last Christmas and he had so many problems with it paired with his Galaxy S9. Bluetooth would randomly disconnect, watch would randomly turn off & sensor accuracy issues. He ended up going back to his old Garmin until I bought him an Honor Watch Magic 2 - 46mm since I have 4 Huawei/Honor watches and their build quality and extremely accurate sensors just can't be beat. His Honor watch was the same price as the GTS and its like comparing a Porsche to a Fiat. I also have a Bip and Bip S along with a Galaxy Watch Active, Gear Sport, Fit 2 Pro, Versa and 3 Pebbles that I still wear occasionally. None of these come close in build quality to my Honor watches and their steps, heart & sleep monitoring can't be beat.

In gts watch face is applied from mobile app. At a time one pic from ur gallary can be saved and used as watch face.

It definitely has touch screen lag. It’s not like using a Samsung or Apple Watch (or even the Amazfit GTS).

Neither have “continuous heart rate.” You can set the rate at which it monitors though. During a workout it automatically starts continuously monitoring your HR though. Neither have ECG though.

BIP S has NO elevation on outdoor activities. BIG difference! For runners elevation is important.

How do i turn on the brightness in amazfit gts?

If you pull down from the main watch face it will bring up the shortcut settings. In the shortcut settings there is a brightness option. You will have to turn off the “automatic brightness” option in order to manually adjust it.

Did you find a difference in GPS speed? GTS is supposed to locate too slow. And did you try sleep tracking on BIP S?

The sleep tracking on both has been incredibly accurate (both recognize when I wake up in the middle of the night and then go back to sleep). As for GPS, the GTS is slower than my Apple Watch at getting a signal, but it always has signal within 30 seconds, and it’s typically closer to 15 seconds (the Bip S takes about the same amount of time as well).

Well, non of them is a real smartwatch, they are just a sportwach with some notifications. So, as a sportwatch the most important feature is under the sun readability. GTS have amoled which is colourful with deep black, but under the sun is inferior to Bip S. Your outside try is not under direct sun light, just under cloudy sky.

No, the GTS just controls the music on your phone, it doesn't have the ability to store music on the watch. There are some Amazfit watches that do have that option though (Amazfit Verge, Amazfit Stratos 3).

Only the Amazfit Stratos, Stratos 3, and Verge have storage for music on the watch. The Bip S and the GTS can only be used as music controllers for the music on your phone.

I had the original bip since 2 years. Was quite happy with it until 4 month ago the screen fell off. The bip s was just released in Germany for 69€ whereas I can get the gts for just 99€ on sale. Which would you choose?

Depending on the watch face, but in workouts the font size is only slightly larger on the Amazfit GTS. If you need a larger font the Amzfit GTR might be a better option.
