If you would like to hear some tips from St. John Bosco for maintaining the virtue of purity, then this video is for you. It is about his cryptic dream called, “The Partridge and the Quail,” which was a vision sent from God.
Here’s an excerpt from the dream:
“One is a partridge and the other is a quail that I found.”

“Is the partridge alive?” I asked.

“Yes.” He gave me the beautiful partridge that was only a few months old.

“Does it feed itself?”

While I was feeding it, I noticed that its beak was divided into four parts, and I marveled at this fact and asked the young man why.

“The four parts of the beak of the partridge and the partridge itself have the same meaning.”

“I don’t understand.”

“What is the word for partridge in Latin?”

“Perdix,” I said.

The letters that make up the word Perdix have this meaning:
“P: Perseverantia (Perseverance).
“E: Aeternitas to exspectat (Eternity awaits you).
“R: Referet unusquisque secundum opera sua prout gessit; sive bonum, sive malum (Everyone must render an account of his deeds, whether good or evil).
“D: Dempto nomine (Without regard to his name, worldly fame, glory, knowledge or wealth).
“I: Ibit . (He shall go.) Now you also know what the four-parted beak means-the Four Last Things.
“I see, but what does ‘X,’ the last letter, stand for?”

“Can’t you guess? Didn’t you study mathematics?”

“X: Means the unknown.”

“Good. Change unknown quantity for destiny, and it makes sense. He shall go to his unknown destiny.”

@Miracles and Prophecies of Saint John Bosco I cannot express in words how profoundly this delivery comes across. The lack of droning elevator music which seems to be a staple of religious themed recordings, the calm yet confident manner, the subtle voices for the different characters, the infrequent personal interjections which are knowledgeable and none intrusive, the carefully selected backgrounds, the personal yet professional candor, I could go on. You perfectly embodied the spirit of St John Bosco as if this great Saint were somehow talking through you. This coupled with a deeply, spiritually intoxicating medium it really does make your heart burn listening to it. Normally I would come back with some minor feedback to perhaps improve the narrative but nothing is there to improve. I seldom make these comments but feel compelled to do so. These stories *need* to be heard and what you are doing here is such a delightful apostolate it will flourish. To think one day we can truly join St John Bosco on these walks in heaven is such a wonderful thought. I feel the grace that pours out from these careful recitations will only be appreciated fully in the next life. A life that feels close enough to embrace with each new story or reflection. Apologies for the gushy nature of this reply I am just deeply moved by the content. God bless 🙏
