On the day we die we will be very happy IF WE HAVE BEEN SAYING the Holy Rosary to the very very best of our ability. Nothing else will have mattered. Not what we have or who we are. The Rosary will be our way to Jesus and the Sacraments through Our Mother Mary. TO JESUS THROUGH MARY.

@@alessandrom7181 Not necessary to pray with same intensity daily. Pray as a child, give God whatever attention you are able. A couple years ago I gave myself excuse that it was better to pray less. I was hearing 2-3 Masses and praying 4 Rosaries daily. I reduced, sadly, to just 1 Mass and rarely praying the Rosary. My life went Horribly downhill. This year was nightmarish. Today was the first day I prayed for 2 hrs straight. What a difference I felt, a peace that this world can't give. Prayer is our hedge/barrier against evil. Because we draw close to God from Whom all Goodness comes. Jesus wants deep friendship with each of us, BFF, Eternal Son of God. Mass is Source, Summit of our Faith, where Jesus comes to us and stays with us until end of time.

Thank you so much for this video. I've prayed every day for as long as I can remember, but I almost never truly paid attention to what I was saying. Frankly, i didn't care enough. That mindset has hurt my relationship with the Lord terribly, and just proves how much I still have to learn at my young age. I'll be doing my best to change my ways because of this video, no more taking the back seat for the Lord!

I'll be putting this in practice. Have for some time contemplated what you said. I was thinking when I speak to someone my full attention is in conversing with them. But I can be distracted when I pray. Very helpful video. Would like to support channel --- but at present I try to help Salesian Missions. Maybe in the future I can help your channel as well 😊

I can’t always pray out loud bc of shortness of breath and fatigue and headaches. It’s my feeling that God understands my situation, I hope.

Catholic Mental Prayer is a form of silent prayer that is the next level advanced from vocal prayer. God can hear your thoughts (and demons cannot). Pray with an honest heart to God, He will hear it.

For shortness of breath! Get a thorough heart and lung check up, for headaches get your gall bladder tested, for fatigues switch to Ketogenic/ Carnivore diet! It will feel like you are so alive!

The Scriptural Rosary helps immensely. Also saying it out loud even if its only a whisper. To say all three mysteries each day must be wondrous. The Saints who did so must have been supremely happy. As it is Our Blessed Mother must greatly appreciate even one mystery a day because of the peace she sends. Anyone who has ever said the Rosary can't help but admit they felt peace afterwards.

I had a dream about 1 month ago where i saw a metronome moving at a steady pace and just before i awakened someone put a metal chain necklace around my neck with at the center being either the pendulum of the metronome or a small sword and the person said loudly in my ear as i was awakening “This is from St. Michael.” I have been exploring with my spiritual director who is a OMV priest what this dream meant. Then i saw the title picture of this podcast with the metronome and was intrigued to watch. I saw the large statue of St. Michael in the background. I feel i was given a message to hear this podcast and learn the importance of heartfelt devotional prayer. Thank you St. John Bosco ❤

And that's why I usually don't do group Rosaries. They always are said as what I once heard described as "freight train Rosaries". I prefer the time to think what it is I am saying as I pray. Don't know what to do about the freight trains, alas.

What about reading prayers? I honestly don't know if I am reading them too fast or if I am reading them at a pace I would speak them at. Even when I try to slow down and focus while actually saying them, for me, it feels like I am too slow and over focusing on my speed more than what the prayer is. I don't know if it is patience with myself or if I feel like I am trying to play catch-up with my eyes.

Who was the saint (maybe Dominican) who made the sign of the cross over the muzzle of a gun and then the muzzle part turned into a crucifix. The gunner on horseback was some important magistrate who took umbrage to the priest's sermon feeling the sermon was only pointed at him. I'd really like to remember who was this holy priest who prayed the sign of the cross so perfectly.

The whole rosary is 5 decades of 5 mysteries example of the glorious mysteries - ressurection ascension, descent of holy spirit upon Mary and apostles, assumption, and coronation of mary as queen of heaven and earth. Another full rosary are the sorrowful mysteries - agony of jesus in the garden, the scouring of jesus, crowning with thorns, carrying of the cross, crucifiction

Would you think that it is ok to do the same with the loved ones in our life? Just record a message and replay it everyday to your kids, husband, parents or others? God is not some authoritarian figure we are trying to please...atleast that's not who he is supposed to be. He is our loving father and one of the ways we return that love back is with our prayers. we also built our relationship with him through prayer. Just like how we build our relationship with the loved ones in our lives with communication. If it is inappropriate to use the recorder with them then it is the same with God.

Regrettably it's your loss if you don't value the rosary anymore. One rosary at a time is much valuable bec it brings us close to Jesus, bec it is a meditation prayer of mysteries on the life death and resurrection of jesus
@glennberry685618 сағат бұрын
Perhaps you're trying to do too much, and your prayer has become arduous as a result. I wish I could pray 4 a day too, but I know myself. It's hard enough for me to say one rosary every day faithfully and meaningfully. It's great that you want to pray so much, but you may be burning yourself out.
@rx010212 сағат бұрын
it's rare to see Catholic anime friends. I do 3 (without Luminous), maybe you could try that and see how it goes. I also suggest that you pray at Eucharistic Adoration when you can. Last, read a book called Secret of the Rosary by St. Louis de Montfort, he mentions how all rosaries are precious even if we don't feel it or struggle with distractions. I relate much to you and pray God blesses you ❤
@coolcatbaron11 сағат бұрын
I almost prayed 4 rosaries a day for a whole year when I was a student, forcing myself until I began to hate it. Oddly enough, sometimes after I forced myself to pray and finished my "obligatory prayer" I prayed again freely without a "you must do that now" attitude and the same prayers felt much better. Here is the thing: We are creatures with a psyche that love to set habits, but we can go overboard and assign burdens that are too much for us to bear. Many people wanted to live like St. Anthony is his day and failed and became bitter by copying his ascetic lifestyle, while he himself was a loving beacon of hope. The thing is we are not equally gifted or called for the same mission. Some have the gift of being an intercessor and they can pray all day long, others would become miserable if they would make that their life. Our sacrifices we make can only be build on the one true sacrifice that is Christ. If we don't have our power from him, our works we try to accomplish will go nowhere. That's why it's important to discern where God wants to have you with the gifts he gave you. You are unique, and even though we all must pray, there is a balance you must reach that only works out for you alone. You must not compare yourself or take the life of faoth as a competition. If we continue to try to do what we assume is right for us, but isn't, only bitterness will await us. First we need to receive and then we can go out giving out. Especially those who suffer scrupulousity sometimes need to accept the gifts that God gave them, which they themselves deem selfish but aren't. And in thanksgiving we then become able to praise the Lord and pray more with a warm heart. Today I don't even pray one rosary a day sometimes, because I'm too exhausted with work as I am a social worker that oftentimes gets haunted with the burdens of others. At such times I know the only prayer I can utter is for God to have mercy on me and maybe enjoy the stillness as I lay down my exhaustion before the Lord as the obly sacrifice I can make. And that is absolutely fine. Trust God forst before doing anything and then let him be your strength in which you can perform anything you do.

This is a good apostolate but lately all I get is mail asking me for money. I’m going to stop my monthly donation, this is what turned me off from many ministries; some nice looking people wearing nice clothes and I’m sure making nice salaries, telling me that I need to give them money to “spread the word “.

I wonder what you tell this God in your prayers and why it takes so long, Do you tell him how good he is and do you ask forgiveness for the multitude of sins you’ve committed since your past prayers? OK that would take all of five minutes and apparently you’ll be automatically forgiven, so now you can commence sinning again until tomorrow when you can do it all again. An easy way to pray would be to record your little prayer on a tape machine and program it to play at a certain time every day, you wouldn’t even need to be there. The same for saying Grace, just leave your recorder on the dining table. How easy is that?
