Because, fun fact, the person in charge of designing the mecha heard his son complaining that his sentai mecha couldn’t be properly posed, so he designed it specifically with poseability in mind. And thank god he did.

Yeah, fans and kids have been asking for better articulation for decades. This story annoys me more than anything. Maybe Japanese designs tend to play it safe and traditional, but none of the recent combiners have been a traditional 5 piece team until now either

Then what about the Individual mecha, they dont have the articulation necesario to do what they do in the show, so i don't think that is the reason why the mecha has articulation

This feels like the first sentai combine mode mech where even the little removable bits that would usually be stuck on the back for storage ( looks meaningfully at abs) not only incorporateseamlessly, but are IMPORTANT to the overall combiner.

Onitaijin is a major leap forward for Sentai mech design, much like Daizyujin was 30 years ago. It's clear the design philosophy for Onitaijin was to make the most articulated combined robot ever for a Sentai mech.

The only other mecha that came close to having full articulation was Daibouken as far as I remember. And I’m also aware that Lupinkaiser and Good Cool Kaiser VSX had “elbows” but that was about it

both KijiBrother and Sarubrother Robotaro mechs are both just like GT-02 and RH-03 mech of Go-Busters since those four are the only ones that split apart to make limbs it’s like they did a memorial of the Go-Buster mechs to to do the same for Don Onitaijin

17:26 Funny enough, some people assume this guy to be quite close to a robot from the Brave Series in terms of style that Masami Obari, animation director of most of the Brave Series, took hold of the toy and was just as unfortunate as you that this toy can't sit. Yeah, he can feel the other toy reviewers on this problem. Last thing they'd ever do is make a Metal Append of this guy with fully articulate skirt armor (or at least the front skirts because of future combinations) at the end of the show. Like the Super Sentai Artisan Shinken-Oh, that can still combine with everything the toyline has to offer, hopefully.

Certainly a step in the right direction but I hope they don't stop with this level of articulation. Although yellow is noticeably weaker than the other components, with a cheap looking yellow plastic, screw holes on the front, no attempt to hide the combined mode foot and very limited articulation compared to the two other humanoid-ish components.
