Those Class 03's were so small that when they did venture onto the mainline they needed a four-wheeled flat wagon attached just to activate The AWS track circuits.

Nice to see some coverage of Doncaster Works! Gotta say, quite a few assts from this addon are very handy for routebuilders!

I'm not a route-builder myself, but more power to you and anyone else who can make good use out of the assets. Come to think of it, I'm surprised I didn't think to reference Owen when I mentioned the 'dead' Class 02 that comes with this route.

Excellent review, I play this route every now and then and I really like it as even now there isn't that much for TSC on very busy and cluttered industrial rail areas like Doncaster Works. As you mentioned I do think the route also nails the grimy and run down feel of BR during the era of the route and the modernisation into the electric era and moving away from locos as a whole; focusing more on DMUs and EMUs. Also it's worth noting you can actually get the British Rail Class 03 for TSC in BR Green with the WSR Diesels Loco Add-On for the West Somerset Railway route on Steam. You can also actually still get a driveable British Rail Class 02 in BR Green and Blue as well! However, only if you somehow have access to Amazon UK... For some reason, the BR Class 02 and Granfield Branch Line Route (which was also discontinued from Steam) are bundled with a British Rail Class 111 Add-On code for TSC on Amazon UK. I am Aussie but managed to get my hands on it after a kind British bloke I knew from the TSC forums bought the installation code for me since there was practically no way I could get my hands on it otherwise. Overall though I genuinely would looovveeee some kind of high quality BR Diesel Shunter pack; at best I would love to see it cover Classes 01-14 which is quite an interesting, unique and underrated class range. (Aside from the Class 08, obviously an incredibly popular loco haha!) Or maybe simply a reworked British Rail Class 03 Pack at higher quality than the original versions which I would love to include a lot of liveries the Class 03s have worn both in service and in preservation. I would ESPECIALLY want a high quality British Rail Class 03 wearing the First Capital Connect livery that '03179' 'Clive' wore. I am a sucker for incredibly unique liveries like that, and other unique locomotives as a whole.

I had thought of mentioning the BR Green Class 03, but ended up forgetting about it. As for the Class 02 and Amazon UK situation, I have no access to the site myself, so I'll just have to deal with only having the Doncaster and Christmas versions of the 02.

Hard To Swallow Pills: Doncaster Works is now the only way you can get an 02 in Railworks, albeit it is not drivable and is a scrap version.

These routs are pretty OG. Good review tho. Yr TSW4 Routes helped me a lot on my purchases!

I like these old-route reviews. Would love to see reviews for the SDJR, Great Western Mainline and Isle of Wight routes.

Great review! Did you know that you can’t actually exit the yard if you wanted to drive on the mainline?
