There are no cutting corners in this build. This job gets " Done Once, Done Right ". I have no time pressure to cut corners, no production schedule to meet and no inflated profit to make by short cutting any aspect of this build, I just want this Catamaran to last, to keep us safe and to be proud of the result. Getting into the stern of this boat has never been easy and my plan to join the transom hits a few obstacles this week as I find a way to finish the join along the rear of the Catamaran.

Ross talks about the visceral thrill of popping the parts out of the mould and wouldn't deny Janet that pleasure. Very next scene our man popping the parts out of the moulds. A working girl just can't win. haha Working 7 days, making dust and wearing yerself down, I'm surprised that you don't have a sinus infection. That you don't is testament to your protective equipment.

Sometimes it is just a daily grind. Knees? Rossco, i know all about knees. i take 3 genacol every morning however, lately i am using pure collagen and (get this) about 3 tablespoons of gelatin with some yogurt. i use knox unflavoured gelatin, make up 2 cups at a time and then each morning take 3 tablespoons of it with some yogurt. i did this for a month.

Great progress Ross! Unhelpful tips and suggestions :) I still think the sugar scoop hatch should open towards the stern for protection from waves if you need to access it in a sea way and the deck makes a nice shelf for parts and tools while working in the engine space. Fill ports: use some yellow enamel paint in the label section for the diesel, blue for the potable water and brown for the black water port. You don't want to pull an "Expedition Drenched" when filling the fuel tanks (they put 500L of diesel into their fresh water tanks):P
@LifeOnTheHulls
@LifeOnTheHulls Жыл бұрын
The engine is not accessible from this hatch.It is a totally sealed compartment from the remainder of the biat.There is only the Rudder mechanism and exhaust in this lazarette,and storage of fenders etc Engine is accessed from inside the boat.Ross

@TgWags69
@TgWags69 Жыл бұрын
On the fly engineering changes often have unseen ramifications. I hope the hatch cut in the bulkhead doesn't cause a weakening of it or potential failure. You may want to at least consider a custom hatch with a very thick/strong spigot that can be tabbed in to support the edges of the hole a prevent any damage from the tensile, compressive and torsional loads in that area. Maybe this is a non structural area idk.....just a consideration.
