Excellent video. I grew up in the 70s in Boston and it’s hard to describe the excitement of watching them explode and move to bigger forums. When Toys was released it was electric. Then Rock bested that. I always loved the quote that goes “The Stones and Zeppelin weren’t coming to your hometown every year. Aerosmith was”. Kinda gets to Peter Bucks quote. Sad ending for them but Father Time remains undefeated. You always post excellent and thoughtful content. Thanks for taking the time.

Thank you! That's such a great quote. I started this morning off with Rocks. Sounded so good. What a powerhouse record. "Nobody's Fault" blew me away again.

In retrospect, Done with Mirrors is a much better record than Permanent Vacation. The real difference is drugs. Aerosmith got sober between records. Made a difference. Outside songwriters, too. Pump was the end for me. But love all of them up to there. Even PV. I like Draw the Line! It’s kinda weird, but I always thought “Kings and Queens” was among their best.

I like "Kings and Queens" and love the song "Draw the Line." Maybe someday the whole record will click for me. They have to have had one of the best comebacks in history.

I'm from the 70's, but late 70's so I kind of skippped over Aerosmith then and did not really get back to them until much later. I never saw them back in the day, so I did go out of my way to see them a bit before covid. They played in Mass. at some point during the Vegas thing. It was very good. Rocks for me if I had to pick one. Like many great 70's bands, I have no interest in their 80's (or later) stuff.

This was fun man, been spinning a bit of Aerosmith lately including Rocks & Pump, still love them & the reaction as usual from my listeners on Social media was huge… The Tour, first was way too expensive but was supposed to end in montreal, might have went as am here… Never seen them, never will…

@@TheVinylLoungeMtl That’s too bad you never got to see them. I’m overdue for a Pump revisit.

Walk This Way changed my whole view of music. I was 10 when Raising Hell came out and it was the first rap album I really liked and most of that was Aerosmith opening that door. I also like how you threw that copy of Toys in the Attic. Don’t worry about bending a corner! No mention of Honkin’ On Bobo?

@@TheFraudiophile That record has seen some love before me. Plays beautifully though. Carpeted floor, if that matters.

Hey Todd loved this kinda like my "The 1st One, The One You Never Forget" series first one never forget videos. I like to hear when people discover a band and deep dive into them and the time they did. For me rock radio introducing me to them and my first album I got was ________ LOL you have to go track down the video I did for this. I also did a video on the first time I seen them in 1982 and I agree Rock in a Hard Place is not bad at all. and I was right there is the 80s with them too. But like you I started fading fast after the ballads- soundtrack songs. I do have a few of the 90s albums on CD but I never paid for them they were freebees. But Toys in the Attic and Rocks do get played when the urge hits and mostly the 70s albums. Loved the stories too. Cheers !!!
