That’s the first step to falling into the system forever- however long that is. You are no different from anyone else with struggles in life. The idea that YOU are different, other people can have a couple of drinks but not YOU or you’ll “relapse” is a trap. You’ve accepted that if you have a couple of beers on your birthday you automatically hit rock bottom again. You DON’T have to accept that. That’s a scam to keep you in the rehab to jail to rehab system.
@hiphopbreaux81562 жыл бұрын

@@hiphopbreaux8156 tell him what? Doesn’t sound like he needs help. I’m talking to anyone trapped in the rehab scam. You know: the one where 90%+ of them “relapse” and come back. I think your dad might agree…but now I’m assuming; just like you did. Now since you gave me unsolicited advice, here’s some for you: don’t assume people don’t know what they’re talking about, especially on subjects where you yourself know very little to nothing. Just to clarify something from my original comment: you need to realize/admit you have a problem that needs to be addressed. I agree there. What I’m saying is you don’t have to “admit” to yourself that you’re programmed differently from “normal” people and you are subject to “relapsing”. That’s a concept put in your head by the rehab center to keep you coming back […to a life where you’re surrounded by and rely nothing but other users, most of whom are relapsing at any given moment…and the good people in your life as cast away as “enablers”].
@tanqueray_philly3432 Жыл бұрын
@@treedillinger5801 I definitely agree with what you are saying. And let me tell you its hard to undo the brainwashing that AA has done even to this day for me. I don't why we are taught to take AA and the 12 step program as the one and only truth when everyone is so different. It's crazy how I believed for a while that I was mentally and physically diseased and thats why I would keep drinking. No the main reason was because I had to change my life situation around. Once you do that a lot of things fall in place. Also, they would say if you had one drink you would be doomed and the allergy would set off. Well there has been plenty of times where I drank only a single drink and not went on a bender. In a true allergy you would get the same reaction everytime. If you have a peanut allergy, guess what you're not going to get the reaction sometimes, its going to every single time. If AA/NA worked why is it that drug and alcohol addiction is going up. I refuse to brainwash myself with the 12 step program, because I believe that we aren't different than the next man. It's just something thats causing us to drink differently. Thats not to say that we shouldn't do anything about it. Right now I choose to be abstaining from alcohol completely. Thats my choice and later on in life if I do decide to drink again its alright. If I can maintain I will, if not I'll decide on abstaining again. So I don't even subscribe to the whole relapsing thing.

That’s a realistic goal. What NEVER works is this rehab mentality that you’re different from everyone else so YOU can’t have a single drink or you’ll “relapse” and end up on the corner doing crack because you had a beer on your friend’s birthday. That mindset is a scam to keep you in the system.
