Nice work mate. I'm sure lads on 1000's are scratching there heads when you come flying past lol! I think what shows in this video the most is how comfortable and confident you are with you bike. Great work mate keep it up 👍🏼

Haha.. cheers mate! one thing I've learned is that guys on 1000s are a lot easier to pass than guys on 600s! I had great confidence in my bike on this day but have list it since due to upgrades I've put on the bike I can't get working right. hopefully 3 days in Spain next week will sort that out!

Nice riding. I’m surprised how slow some of the fast group riders are, not even following the race line.

Great video! I did my first ever track day (aged 51!!) with Ron Haslam School at Donnington last week and have kinda got the bug!! Great lines, like I was aiming for ... but mostly missing!! LOL To be fair, I had a great instructor on the day (James East) and he brought me on loads over the sessions. I ended up getting the second highest score on the day ..... and have since been looking for a 600cc track bike! Like I said, I've now got the bug and your video is great revision/study material for me :-) Thanks for sharing it.

Nice one mate, looks fast, sounds good too. You can see the shadow of your gopro in some shots, do you have a picture of how you've mounted it? Is it on the wing mirror bolt?

Actually, what exhaust do you have on there and do you have any idea what db is tested at? I've got a day at brands in a couple of weeks and think mine is too loud.
@BlackFlag948 жыл бұрын
thanks mate, it's mounted on the bottom of the windscreen. it's a Leo vince slip on with the secondary silencer box - 95-97dB. there's going to be some footage from my recent catalunya trip soon

Your an awesome rider! How are you so fast? Just experience? Do you have any tips on getting faster? Thanks. Keep the vids coming :)
@BlackFlag949 жыл бұрын
+Taylor Makes Gainz Thanks mate. I got a lot faster after riding with a couple of buddies on GSXR1000s - trying to keep up with them while riding a 600 teaches you to brake late and accelerate sooner. I'm not particularly experienced, this was my 3rd ever trackday. My tips would be: Brake later, accelerate harder and sooner, and you should hardly ever not be using either the throttle or the brakes. As for the corners, turn in later and faster. That's basically it to be honest. Make sure you take time to learn the correct lines too - this is something I need to do more

you r a crazy sod!! what tyres were you on??
@BlackFlag949 жыл бұрын
Supercorsa SC1 front and rear. Theyre good although I prefer the SC2 rear so I can slide it a little more - these cover up rider mistakes a bit too much. thanks though bud!

HI mate, nice video. Have you tried Cadwell Park? Which track do you think is better for a 1000cc?? (It would be my first time on track)
@BlackFlag945 жыл бұрын
Not done Cadwell.. it's on the list though. To be honest, I dont think there are many circuits a 1000 isnt quicker than a 600 but obviously the faster the circuit the more suited it is to a 1000. Silverstone, snetterton, Bedford and probably Doningtonhave a larger difference between a 600 and 1000

I'm at donington 27th and gone down 1 on front not sure what to go on rear. 44 or 45 cbr600rr5
@BlackFlag946 жыл бұрын
That would be okay although 1 down on the rear isn't going to make a huge difference so I'd say you're safe to experiment. You won't run out of top speed at Donington so don't worry about that
