Here is the beginning of Season 2, Personally, I like Season 1 the best, mainly because of the kind of animation and the way everyone looked, it was so bad that it was funny to watch, but it's not as amusing now, but I still like the show.

I adore this episode. Klump really tugs at your heartstrings, and he finally finds some happiness. It makes me so happy. Technically speaking, I prefer the stilted, clunky animation of season 2 to the floaty and creepy motion capture of season 1. It feels just a tad more believable, and watchable. This episode is beautiful and sincere.

The acting of the traditionally 3D animated characters ironically has much better acting compared to season 1's motion capture. The mouths, facial expressions and body language to some extent do a better job emoting (probably because the movements are much more specific/simplified)

After watching through the first season episodes, I've grown more curious about the Crystal Coconut's origins. DK found it in the temple of Inca Dinca Doo long after Captain Scurvy's grandfather hid it there. But then the Crystal Coconut must have come from far across the sea, but where? It contains great, mysterious powers even Cranky doesn't yet know about as he so stated in season one. So who created it? A deity?

It's an early form of bump mapping with a gloss effect added to make it work, that's why it looks plasticy.

Yup it would appear so since they look similar only the short differences is their colored scales and skin, and their outfits, but it's only in Tv Series since Skurvy is just the character like Kannons since they are the replacement of Klumps

Medialab (who worked on the first season) left the show, that’s why. The show’s second season was animated by Wang Film Productions and did not use motion capture animation.
