Bought this game once it became part of the Nintendo Selects line and dropped to $20. Donkey Kong Country is a legendary series and never fails to impress. This one is no different. With a high difficulty to boot. :)

Yes along with a unique art style too! Just like the OG SNES games the art style is something that set the first 3 games apart from the crowd, this time it reminds me of a less gritty version of Twilight Princess's art-style in a strange way.

Hello Jack. My son Terran and I love Donkey Kong. We love the graphics and all the spirals, I talk to him about Fibonacci sequencing etc. We love the fact that this game is less violent than the others and the music is nice also. I appreciate you keeping your language clean so younger children can watch your show. It would be nice to hear gamers speak more positively because so many children watch these shows. You have the power to reach the masses, having something positive to say is important. Perhaps your channel can also pick up some educational games.

This game is probably the only reason I'm tempted to get a Wii U. Sm4sh was far below expectation, I've been seeing better things in Project M 3.6. Splatoon is a cool game, but personally not my style. Super Mario 3D World was fantastic, also tempts me a bit, but not as much as DK.

There is nothing about this game that is 2D. Donkey Kong Country was 2D perceptive (and 3D rendered). If you're referring to the genre, just say sidescroller, as you clearly have no clue what a 'dimension' is. Euclidean geometry... look it up, it's kind of a big deal.

Andrew Rowan that’s why I always wondered why they didn’t bring along the other 4 donkey Kong country games when they did the 5th one for the switch even if the other 4 would have to be remastered For the switch a lot of people don’t have the old gaming systems the old versions use to be on. At least bringing the other 4 donkey Kong country’s over with the fifth one on the switch it would be easy to play all 5 games on the switch.

This game hardly even gave the Wii U's abysmal sales numbers a bump. I'm convinced nothing can save the wii U at this point. The 2014 sales fail has been written about ad nauseum, and the articles that I've read are all unanimous...the wii U is absolutely doomed. It's no longer "can the wii U be saved", it's "can nintendo be saved". It's truly sad to see them in the current state that they're in

Technically Nintendo has enough money in the bank that they could lose over $250 million per year and survive for another 30 years. That's not including any revenue they actually make from the 3DS or Wii U. Personally, I think things will get better for the Wii U when Smash Bros and Zelda U are finally out.

The Kremlings were made by a company called Rare who use to make Donkey Kong games for Nintendo but Rare is owned by Microsoft since 2002-2003. So if Nintendo was to put Kremlings in any new Donkey Kong game then they would get in trouble with Microsoft.
