"Get the key from Mario and save your Papa" Mario is villain of this every Donkey Kong Jr. that has been kidnapped the father, Donkey Kong, the gameplay you should climb to the vines, to climb faster by holding two of chains and ropes in each of the level you can hit the enemy with the fruit that you climb it, and don't let Donkey Kong Jr. hit the enemy touches any enemy or projectile, falls too high from the distance, touches the water and falls off the bottom of the screen or if the bonus timer counts down to zero. The game ends when the player loses all of their lives.

이래뵈도 전작인 동킹콩과 묘하게 이어지는 게임. 동킹콩에선 킹콩이 마리오 여친(?)을 납치해서 마리오가 구출해냈는데 동킹콩 주니어에선 반대로 마리오가 여친(?)납치의 복수를 하기위해 동킹콩을 잡아버리자 그의 아들인 주니어가 자신의 아버지 동킹콩을 구출하는 게임~...
