Nice that was my board. Can’t wait to play it. I really find PCB repair interesting so it was great you did a video on this. I thought I tested continuity ok between the edge connector and the P5 connector but I must have done that incorrectly. But that totally explains why in the sellers pic you see the board using the original wiring harness and Mario was moving right. And explains the white goup on the back.

MIKE< do you know why Nintendo used Konami processors for the graphics and VLM5030 Sound chip? I'm just don't know why they would use those processor it must be for a reason because you see them used on various games

The Sanyo VLM5030 is a speech processor. It makes sense to use it as they had a long-standing relationship with Sanyo. (Think 20EZV monitors). I'm not familiar with Nintendo using any Konami parts.
