Donkeys Getting Groomed Hazel and Lilly Love Being Brushed Even In the 95 Degrees Heat

Hazel the donkey and her best friend Lilly love being groomed so today while it's 95 degrees out we had to spoil the two of them. My wife Daniela Ameruoso took care of Lilly while I took care of my girl Hazel

Oh I know they feel so much better. I was so sad I didn’t get to met Hazel n my trip to Newport Beach. Christopher, I know a lady that makes all kinds of neat things….book marks, earrings, bracelets, etc. if you have enough of Hazel or Lilly’s hair, let me know…I will get in contact with my friend. Hey there Daniela and Christopher. Those little girls looked like they were enjoying their brushing, well, apart from Hazel's fly-spray protest lol. It's strange, but our cat hates even the sound of a spray, yet we have never used sprays on him at all. (He was a rescue cat, so perhaps he has a memory of being sprayed.) Excellent! Thanks for the demo and tips about the fly spray, which I will get hold of for a precious horse friend nearby I visit a lot who's being plagued by flies up here in WA state too. I feel bad for him, my Angel Horse! I will see if his Mom and Dad would like me to bring some of that spray for him...without implying anything negative they might feel offended about. They're pretty nice folks, and that HORSE is amazing. I might just get a brush like that for him of my own too, for when I stop by and he's all alone almost any day of the week in his field. (The family's always working, naturally, but he gets very lonely.) Thanks Christopher and Daniela! I love watching you work together with these beautiful donkey girls!

Those are two of the luckiest donkeys in the world. I would imagine that they had a hard life until they were rescued but now in their retirement its Chris and Daniela to the rescue. What one does for the least among us will follow him/her the rest of their life.

@@ChristopherAmeruoso I totally agree. I'd have a hard time surviving an 85 degree day with dew points in the 70s. Dew point here is 28 today so your sweat evaporates fast and cools you off. That doesn't happen when it's humid.

Its funny you mentioned the birds taking the Donkey fur and making nest. This spring i saw dog fur in the beaks of some birds making nest. They were going inside my neighbors door and taking dog fur from the mat where the dog lays down by the door.

Birds are very resourceful...they use practically anything they can find for their nests!

Sometimes it works others it doesn't the flies are just crazy and a real problem in Ca. It's very dry and hot and they like that
