When I put fly spray on my horses face, I spray it into the palm of my hand then wipe it on with my hand. Very lucky donkey's! Thank you for all the great videos!

The reason that flies don't bother zebras is that their black and white pattern confuses the flies! It's true! You can buy fly sheets for horses that have a zebra print. My horse is a gray (white) arabian, and I've considered using a black livestock marker to make him into a "zebra".... 😄 I like your idea to spray the brush with fly spray because Snowy doesn't like fly spray, either. Thanks! Glad that Hazel's wound is healing well. She looks just as beautiful as ever! ❤🦄❤

My horse LOVES being brushed with those oval pocket combs, the flexy plastic kind with a finger loop that barbershops sell for 99¢. I think the short bristles give her a nice skritchy skratch!

I'm sure Hazel, Lily, Heaven, & Doc appreciate being groomed well and getting the fly spray to keep those lil buggers off. Doc sure is lucky he doesn't get the flies as much as the girls do. I was thinking the spray bottle sound was what Hazel disliked as well. Some animals can be sensitive to certain triggers. We have an 8 1/2 yr. old hairless Chinese crested dog who absolutely hates any kind of high pitched beeping noise (most especially the smoke detector beeping) & she'll jump in the bathtub everytime she hears it. Lol 😄 Y'all have Texas weather out there in the west coast with that extreme heat. 🌞 Stay cool guys & Howdy Daniella! 😊🐴👋

I use Cedarcide (cedar oil) on my cats. It repels all sorts of bugs and it's non-toxic.

Hmmm? I'd brush out Doc 1st. Then, use the same brush's on Hazel and Lilly. Maybe there's a pharamone in Zebra's hair or dander that flies don't like. I tried spraying the brush out of sight for neighbor Angel Horse and he took off instantly...it must be the sound...and he has not spoken to me since! :( :( :( I think someone else already got to him as there were far fewer flies on his face, so I guess he thinks I'm the enemy too now. Makes me sad. He takes his apples and leaves me.

Yes but for some reason Hazel really doesn't like the spray bottle so rather then stress her out in her old age I just walk away. As for the Zebra yes I heard that for sure
