My families been racing sense 58 and I took over in 94 running a 4200 pound 88 Monte SS. I have to have a cage. I broke into the 9's I had to upgrade the cage and when I put the 4 link back half and new 615 bbc powered by f3-136 procharger I had to upgrade again to a 4.50 1/8 7.50 1/4 certified and im.stredt driven. My other 88 Monte SS is also all factory steel body other than hood and it has all factory glass and all factory interior. 24's adj 4 all Suspension done 615 bbc f-1x-12 supercharger and it has to have a chute and 12 point cage. So, why don't they halve to have a cage

Outlaw tracks are different than nhra tracks too, at least ones I've been to, they give me a number and I run, no inspection, depends on that tracks rules I assume.

Some tracks have street classes at races, even at nhra tracks. Street class at SCT has some fast mutha fuckas in it. No cage, safety shut off, none of that! Just run yo shit!

@@tremendous9137 I understand what your saying but yeah that's my beast when we ran lights out. I was under because the impression I was given was they were fast. I travel all over east coast and midwest racing track and in street events. I just always have had to have everything inspected to be able to run. The only time there was no inspection was when we only ran low 11's and was all stock but once I broke that first ten I couldn't test no more until I put at least a simple roll bar in. I was told these cars were running in the 9's is why I thought cage. It is cool what they got going on but I did see slugs off the line. I still run all factory glass and true all factory doors, fenders and so on because it's plated and insured.

I’m tired of everyone using LS setups. Last year My little brother bought a new setup. It’s a Proline 548ci Hemi with a centrifugal F3X 143 Procharger that Makes upwards of 5,250+hp maxed out. But as you know it’s pretty hard to get even half of that to the ground. But I imagine with a Proline engine with Twin 136mm turbos would make a Donk fly down the track in under 8 seconds or better. Anyways I’m done talking too much, I just just love it that Donkmaster is back on top.

Being a millionaire doesn't make your car the fastest. There's a lot of combination of things that makes a car win races. The car with the most horsepower doesn't automatically win. It has to get traction. If the driver is not good, then it don't matter how well the car is dialed in. It will still lose. If the car is too heavy, that can cause it to lose against lighter cars.
