Many new MMA fans forget that ufc didnt reach golden era until they merged with two top other promotions, PRIDE and Strikeforce. It brought and the greatest heavy weight era ever for mma. I cannot wait to see how much this does for pfl. Bellator already had a few champions better than their ufc weight counter parts, and the greatest mma fighter currently on the planet Usman Nurmagomedov. Now pfl has not the greatest in talent from what ive watched, maybe a handful in top tier, but this merger will push the talent requirement to the next level.

I’m really looking forward to this. If you are a die hard MMA fan, I don’t see how you can’t be excited. These are the kinda fights that us as fans kinda joke about and basically fantasize about to be honest. It’s rare you actually get to see these type fights actually materialize. I really like Donn and what the PFL is all about, and having Dan Hardy on board for me is gold. I will say that it's hard to get into other promotions coming from the UFC, they do a great job of that promotional wrap around events, building up with video countdowns, embedded, lots of media interviews. They are a drag for the fighters, but they really help attaching personality and stories to the fighters and fights. The UFC can feel like a circus at times, but stories is still a part of it. I do want rankings to mean something, and I don't think it's right when a fighter talks themselves into a fight they don't deserve, but as a fan I want (as part of that hype building to the event) for the PFL to educate me on these fighters and why the event will be so great.

2 fights a year 😂 UFC in 2023 absolutely killed it with their ppv events. And I doubt 2024 will be in different for the UFC since it started so well Sean vs Dricus, O’Malley vs Chito, Volk vs Llia, Mexico City card. And Izzy’s return plus Islam vs Justin or Olivera. And then you got the heavy weight division that is stacked.

Hey guys I do not understand PFL at all. So you claim this is a PPV and you want to see creativity, character, colour, and fighters will “go for broke”. If these are all good things, why will normal PFL events revert to boring, uniform shows? Or is there a “cost” of allowing this creative freedom (boring uniforms mean sponsorship rev?)

No 5 round title fights? Yeah not because of what he said. There’s too many title fights and regular fights on the main card, thus if you made the title fights 5 rounds it would be WAY too long. And by the way if the UFC only put on 2 ppv cards a year it would be stacked and WAY MORE stacked. Co promoter in mma? Stop it. This guy is a goofier looking Bjorn Rebney from the earlier Bellator days. Always sounds positive and speaking half truths. They shoulda made this card free to build the brand. THEN put on ppvs. This was a free product. Gotta ease in on ppv. Really build the stars. And to be honest they are going too many directions. Bellator deal. PFL deal. Multiple TV deals. Europe only divisions etc. And Ngannou was supposed to fight in the PFL this year! Now this guy is fine if it’s in 2025 if Ngannou will box a third time! He’s like a that dad or mom that wants to be your friend above parent. Last but not least no ppv price and the event is a month away? Anyways I’m done.
