Oh my gosh she LOOKS like her! The eyebrows, the way her eyes are angled down and pop out slightly - and her cheekbones! I love it when animators put a bit of the voice actors' looks in the characters

it's so amazing how she just transforms her voice....her voice sounds so nice and soft and then BAM manipulating evil plotting gothel comes into play especially around 1:11... I got goosebumps!! :D

@rustor84: actually, in another intervew, Mandy Moore confirmed that the characters were drawn before. But I'm sure they take quite a few of real life traits and mouth motions to make the actual animation.

No I reckon she would have been the right age. Mother Gothel looks young but is ancient, so I reckon 40ish is a reasonable age to play her. Granted, I think anywhere from 30-60 could be a good age to play her

As Gothel, Donna was cheesy and slightly annoying yet darkly comic. Happy belated 5th anniversary to Tangled, a not great but beautiful Disney flick.
