You can't be like "Treat yo' self" whenever. Pick a day that holds a special place to you or is at a time of the year where nothing financially huge is usually happening for you or go to a random date picker site and have that be your day. Once you have a date picked, put 10-20% of each of your paychecks into a separate bank account (or take it out in cash and keep in a safe) once your day hits....TREAT YO' SELF!! Use the crap outta that account/cash. Deplete it, or have some leftover for the following year

1. donna's growth laid the blueprint on standards, boundaries and how to date to marry 2. real men take care of themselves and the people that they love. they choose to love. ron outgrew his toxic masculinity, moved past his trauma from his abusive ex tammys to make himself worthy of a woman who was perfect for him and became a real man with a family he loves. i'm definitely due for a rewatch, i never realized any of this before.

I would disagree with the second point. Ron demonstrates affection for all the members of the department. Especially Leslie and April. Remember the first episode? "Of course I believe in love. What else is the point of living?" (I paraphrase]. Ron was a man. The3e was no toxic masculinity in him except for exaggerations every now and then for comedic effect.
@bigbird4481 Жыл бұрын
there is no such thing as toxic masculinity, anyone that is toxic doesn't deserve the label of being masculine they are simply toxic people
@spaciebun Жыл бұрын
ron never had any toxic masculinity. it's literally just how he was raised. he's a man's man. if he thinks he can do a job better than someone - woman, man or child - then he'll do it. which is why he let leslie do all the government work (other than the fact he's a libertarian), cheering her on in his own way most of the time.
