Donna's voice got richer and so much better as she got older and even in her 60s she could sing with the power of a 20 year old!! You should check out her Live Versions of songs that are from concerts she did in the 2000s. You'll be quite amazed at what a versitile and powerful singer she became even more in later years. She also did a bit of Club Mix Songs in her later years. One of my favorites is "I Am A Fire".

There's something in her voice that I find similar to Irene Cara's voice. Irene is the one who sang What A Feeling from the Flashdance soundtrack and Fame from the Fame soundtrack. Two major 80's classics. You have to check them out if you haven't heard them already, I love her voice.

I imagine you’ve never watched the film ‘The Full Monty’ 🤷🏻‍♂️ there is a famous scene where they’re all waiting in the job queue while secretly training as strippers. Now was anyone expecting the guitar solo fade out. It's almost like she knew what was going to be the end of disco with that ending. The rise of rock and the guitar solo in just about every song. Along with the guitarist being just as famous as the singer. Now solo's and famous guitarist had already been around but in the late 70's through the 80's your band better have at least one of those things. and even better to have both. For example the rise of Van Halen. They started in the 70's and by 84 they were on top of the world. The only thing to beat them in 84 was Jaskson's song Beat it. And Eddie Van Halen played the guitar part to the song and he even arranged the song. Yes the rest of Van Halen wasn't happy about it. Back to Donna. She ruled the 70's and without her there would be no disco era. Also yup this is a I wanna get some song and if it was put on when the two of you were alone you knew what's up. lol And you better be ready!!!
