The new documentary "Love to Love You, Donna Summer" tells the story of the legendary vocalist, from her childhood to her death in 2012. Access Hollywood exclusively sat down with Donna's daughters - Mimi, Brooklyn and Amanda Sudano - ahead of the film's red carpet premiere, and they shared memories of their beloved mother. "She was just a lot of fun. She loved prank calling our friends and lots of jokes and silliness and togetherness." "Love to Love You, Donna Summer" premieres May 20 on HBO Max.

Donna Summer is an artist who has her distinct sound and beautiful voice that no one else can mimic much like Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin etc. When you hear her voice you immediately know that’s Donna Summer. Excited to learn more about her through this documentary she left an amazing legacy through her art and her daughter’s are gorgeous just as she was.

Breathtaking daughters. They honour their beautiful Mother who was one of the greatest singers and vocalist of all time. I’m 55 and I grew up as a child singing to her records when I was 7-11 years old. As an older person now I enjoy listening to her earliest concerts in Europe. I’ve been exposed to a new world of Donna. She was always great. A superstar. Her daughters make me very proud. I love that they love each other and support each other. That’s all Donna would have wanted. Her family was everything. 🩵🌳🌸🩵

I was at Bergdorf Goodman visiting a former coworker and she indicated that Donna Summer was behind me. I whipped around and sure enough, Donna Summer walked past us, she smiled and said "hi"! I said "hi" and l think l broke my face smiling I was so freakin' excited! The only perk of working in a high end store like Bergdorfs was all the celebrity sightings and this was one of my favorites!

One of if not the most criminally underrated singers/game changers! Waay more than just a 'queen of Disco' which in itself is a massive feat (to own an entire genre). She was rock, r&b, gospel etc...Plus, a lovely, humble CLASS act day 1-last day. Absolutely had that unique, instant iconic IT vocal factor like Aretha, Whitney, Tina, Barbra and very small select few others. Yes, had massive fame and awards but her LEGACY and 'what' she did to change the map w/ dance, EDM music etc...I feel she still lacks the props by the GP. Nothing (both in the clubs or radio) previously sounded like *anything she pumped out as singles or albums! I Feel Love is nearly 50 years old and an absolute masterpiece. Still fresh ah, jaw dropping with constant replay value!
