I’m watching this for the first time. And she was just amazing! I hadn’t heard of Tina before What’s Love Got to do with it. But I remember exactly where I was when I heard it. I couldn’t be older than 7 at the time, but I remember that song reaching soul. Almost as if the world was perfect for the duration of that song. I couldn’t make much sense of the lyrics I remember. YES...AGREED. I've never heard this song before today and likely many others from their catalog. But I would say that the lyrics of songs of that time and particularly for this song were just raw and pure too if not poetic or metaphoric, or not always superficial compared to today's music. Another song they did that truly got my attention is also a slow ballad called "You Got What You Wanted." I'm not sure if you ever heard that number. But the lyrics of that song speaks to me too.
