One of Donna's earliest songs, credited to her original name Donna Gaines on the label. A really funky cover of the 1960s song. A real treat to hear this. Even this early in her career, her voice and soul is unmistakable!

@DarrylM65 Summer's first work with Moroder and Bellotte was her first album in 1974. This was her first single in 1971, when she was still known as Donna Gaines. According to Wikipedia it was produced by former Bee Gees guitarist Vince Melouney.

Until I hear Tina Turner's version, I have to say this is the most utterly super funky down-with-it groove that I've heard of a cover of this classic by the Jaynetts. Thanks for sharing it and hope to hear Tina's version soon.
