Best hike near Delta Junction, Alaska. Donnelly Dome is about a 1.5-mile hike with 1,500 feet of elevation gain. Great video...Brings back good memories. I was stationed at Eielson AFB from 1984 - 1988. During a trip to Valdez we camped overnight at Donnelly Dome. I'll never forget the sunrise that morning...The sun lit up the Alaska Range south of us and the valley to the east. It really was breathtaking! Thanks again for sharing.

Hi, Ivan, I decided to go to the top of Donnelly Dome at mid march. I think it will be a perfect place to take Northern light. Do you think it's possible and safe to go to the top in March? Thanks!
