Quality demonstration of a quality electric piano. I do like an electric piano sound and the internal speakers in this seem to be pretty good too. A delightful, comprehensive demonstration of this 'road-worthy' Donner electric piano... at 40kg (88lb) you're able to tote this instrument around. I don't know or care what he's playing....it's magic when he touches ANY keys. Michael Jordan never complained about playing on cement. He excelled anywhere. Same here...if you can play, it sounds good! YOU don't need a chair! You kick it out of the way when jamming anyway sooooo....who cares! BTW, that sounds like a real piano so hats off to Donner.

I like the careful way my Donner was packed. My cats loved the long thin air filled cushion. They attacked it and then slept on it. Most air is gone now but they still like it. Don’t know if mine sounds as good as yours because I can’t play piano! Great sound!

I had a couple of keyboards from jobs I used to do, they were going to be thrown out, but I took them home, (i am a painter), but I took them, tried them, and couldn't play to save my life! I gave them away to someone who could play one, free of charge of course! Well, he is now in a band, not famous though, but hey, it helped him. Who would have thought that his career would have started from a house Painter?

I'd like to hear how clunky/quiet the key action is. Noisy keys are a problem with my old Yamaha P-70. You should do some give-away videos of these pianos you're being sent. Give them to local schools or community centres or chain them down in a public area - with your branding on them.

I did watch this the other night but wasn't signed in so have liked the video now. :) The Donner is impressive! Nice tone, response, and the built in speakers seem good too! Who better to demonstrate it also than you Terry! You definitely do them justice with your fab and out of this world playing! A nice bit of kit indeed for people who may just be starting out and the more experienced who may want to save space that an otherwise traditional upright may take up.

hi terry the donner ddp-100 is built very similar to my kawai cn35 electricl digital piano and although my kawai has 336 sounds built into it the donner ddp-100 is a superb quality electric piano with kind regards matt

Moonlight Sonata is a great test piece for sound. I ordered DP-100 yesterday after watching review of the white one but I got this one. I have 3 DEP-20 but they all went bad at the 1.5 yr mark& they sent me the 2nd 2 free,I'm in process of repairing them. I'm not a beginner but this was the best my budget would allow. I hope it sounds good cause I've been in a crummy mood since mine went sour 2 months ago! This sounds better than the 20 & the 20 when I would really get going would move around even in the stand. This looks more sturdy, but we'll see when it gets here. Thank you for your great reviews! They are so helpful! Where can one find the Terry Miles story? Besides the piano you have other talents. Putting the piano together, working with a few tools and you can get this piano together and get exciting enjoyment from it. How do you keep up with remembering all the notes for every song you play? An ideal piano to take with you where ever you go and no worry of piano in sight as you have one with you . Just have to have an outlet to plug it into . You can get lots of enjoyment out of it. Amazing as always!!!

You left out the price which would put it in context. From watching the assembly, it appears that it is not intended to ever be broken down for moving etc. It seems to be lacking many of the features of the last Donner that you recently reviewed. I didn't like the the obviously unstable quailty of the last one which was quite apparent, that you didn't mention. Clearly, that would not be a problem with this one.

@@w13rdguy Exactly. I can go on to the internet to find out the kind of things that one normally expects from a review of a product. And Terry's last review of a product from that same company included that sort of stuff. We can see from the effort to construct the stand for the unit that it will be much more stable than the previous one that was given a demo. It would have been nice if he confirmed what appearances indicate, that it cannot be easily broken down for convenience in moving something that looks at first glance like it is supposed to be portable. Something that will probably not be specifically mentioned on the web site. In the first product demo from this company, Terry enthusiastically described the many features it had. Seemingly, all this one has is a volume control and apparently some quality speakers. The location of the headphone jack is definitely worth noting. That is why the price information is important during, not after the review. Is this some dumbed down economy model with a beefed up stand making up for not having basic electric heyboard feautures? Something for less than a couple of hundred euros for those unable or unwilling to pay for a fully functional keyboard like the previous one? Terry doesn't even mention whehter it is full eighty-eight key or a seventy-five. Nothing about weighted or unweighted keys. Nothing about how it feels to physically play. It doesn't have to be a long review. Just stuff like ...this is the economy model of the last one but still has a good feel with x type keys. Or......this is a more expensive model with far less functionality but much higher quality speakers and a permenant stable stand.

KZbin reviewers generally leave those details out, for that and other reasons. Donner themselves, for example, may prefer those details are left out. Personally, I bought the cheapest 88 key Donner a couple of years ago(under $usd100), and it was good enough for my purpose.
