Are you aware that this power supply does not provide isolated outputs, as the more expensive supplies you mention all do? The ground connections are all joined, meaning that you will not avoid ground loops and digital interference in the way that a fully isolated supply will do. This explains the much lower price. It does prevent a faulty pedal from stopping tyhe others on the supply from closing down, but in all other situations you'd be just as well using a daisy chain connection - which would be even cheaper.

I didn't know that when I bought it. It is pretty noisy even at a low volume. I only paid $32 for it and it's powering my pedal board. So, you get what you pay for. I'm just using mine for teaching so it's not a big deal breaker. For a live rig I would have to have something more quiet.

I bought one of these last year, I found it to be noisy af. I found the best way to power my pedals was to use a daisy chain with a 9v battery.

Were you using it to perform live?

@@GuitArmy No, the Donner psu didn't get past the testing in the man cave.

it is quite noisy which I'm not fond of. But, I'm just using it while I'm teaching guitar online and I play at a low enough volume it's not too noticeable. For playing live I would get something quieter. @@georgejohnson7591

"Mosky 10 "it is isolated and quieter than a rex that I had. And it is 30 quid.

I bought one and it lasted a bit more than a year. I'd charge it up and the next day it would be dead. Probably just unlucky, but a waste of money for me. Hard to buy a Donner product from my perspective.

sorry to hear that it stopped working after a year. I did another review of a power supply and I've been using it everyday for the last 6 months and haven't had any problems with it at all. It's quiet and just works. I always have it plugged in but turned off while I'm not using it. @@GuitArmy It didn't cost all that much, but still. I'll check out the alternative. Thanks for the suggestion, I was shopping already!

Yep they are great. This is about 1/5 the cost.

it creates a big magnetic field, bad for noise because of pedals above it if you place the psu under the board
