Love Ray’s comments. He is very knowledgeable and has a ton of insight. Wish he was doing all the Canucks game.

I didn’t get that reference (I’m assuming you’re referring to the beginning of the interview.) What ‘lack of effort’ was he referring to?

My hunch is that JR talked to the team before the start of the 3 win streak to tell them what is going to be on the papers so get your act together as a team..

I think Stone could have avoided hitting Heiskanen the way he did. It didn’t have to happen.

“You can’t handle the truth! “ So true, the Canucks are like our favourite sons, who would of thought they hate each other? How could they? How many people you work with you don’t care for?

Am I the only one noticing that Rutherford likes to point a lot of fingers over different things that are negative about this organization, but does not really take ownership to the management's role in these problems? From management's handling of Boudreau's firing, to the choice of offering both Miller and Petey big contracts with NMC when they know those two could not get along (assuming the story reported about the rift is true), to the team's decision to allow the defence to go into shambles in the off-season (but focused on "upgrading" the forward group), and most recently to him ranting about Zadorov not re-signing with the team. This is not to say the Rutherford-Allvin regime has not made some very astute moves or that they are 100% to blame for all the ills of the franchise, but they are certainly partially responsible or very responsible for a lot of problems that we are seeing too.

I really like Ray Ferraro and respect his knowledge and opinions --- but I'm also aware Ray has to be careful about what he says about the Canucks. Ray's wife is in Canucks management, so he is restricted in speaking the truth. But fans like me know what the truth is --- Jim Rutherford's comments about Miller-Petterson were an admission of failure. Rutherford signed Petterson to a huge new contract, making him the 5th Highest Paid Player in the NHL, and the future franchise superstar of the Canucks. Ray can't say like us fans can--- "IT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE! RUTHERFORD WAS WRONG!" Now Canucks have a player who is totally over-rated and vastly over-paid, and unable to live up to the huge expectations..This is definitely hurting the team. Petterson should be scoring goals and putting up stats like Quinn Hughes, and he is NOT. He is way down at #123 in the league, between Kyle Palmieri and Neil Pionk. The worst part of this situation is --- I don't think Petterson will ever live up to his huge contract, no matter what team he plays for. You can see it in every game. This is a huge problem for the Canucks and it's no wonder guys like Miller are frustrated.

Blows my mind how guys defending him are saying his lack of production is fine as long as he plays like he's worth the Selke.

Blah, blah, blah.

Miller frustrated, so what. He's been pretty useless this year. Took a leave for 11 games and has done precious little since he came back except for being a drama queen. Last night he seemed to be trying hard, but he still made some atrocious plays, which could have easily cost the Canucks the game. He should buy Demko dinner for bailing him out.

It is ok to criticize Petey but not Miller. Ok. I got yah.
@griggbaylee58088 күн бұрын
I still think in the long term Pettersson is the more valuable player, but he or miller are not exactly great trade bait presently.

Sitting back in the 3rd, trying to win a 1 goal game pisses me off
@davidmetzler66707 күн бұрын
Yeah that was a very shaky 3rd and felt like the game-tying goal was coming. Lots of posts/missed nets and of course saves made that win feel a bit lucky. But the team so desperately needed that, and we can’t become snobs about getting 2 points (not saying you are being one, just mean as a fanbase in general). I mean if the Canucks played the Predators’ exact game, we wouldn’t be looking at the positive of being “all over them in the 3rd”. Still though, I agree. Makes me miss the Luongo era when the team was nearly unbeatable when leading going into the 3rd, which all good teams seem to be. Hope they can tighten that up, and this team will be fine. 🙂

Eh, I've been a Canuck fan for more than 40+ years now because I've always enjoyed cheering for underdogs and there is no bigger underdog in the league except for maybe Buffalo. It could be worst, I could be a Leafs fan. They've never made it out of the third round in their franchise history.
