I feel the same way. My first boyfriend from 1955, stopped seeing each other in the ‘60s and got back together in ‘72, stopped seeing each other in the ‘80s, gave me away in my commitment ceremony on 02/29/96, made his transition on the same date in 2020, loved this song. When I hear Mr. Hathaway do this, I tear up, for real! Much love James from me!

What a great singer is, no oversinging, no 100 note runs, knowing how important those moments of silence are when the music comes forward. And when his voice meets Roberta Flacks, lord, nothing like it.

I'm facing one of the hardest times in my life, battling depression, a lost marriage and family, recently laid off from a job. I don't know where the road will lead, I know tomorrow is never promised, so to stay alive and well, I will wish everyone of you the greatest gift I can give you..my prayer, for you and your loves, your dreams which you feel are dead are never until you are. Your light shines in a corner of the world to someone's darkness, someone you may never see, but they see that light, through your words, from your soul you can reach them, even but one, to save their life and let them hold on to just one word, to keep them alive for just one more minute, to see another hour shine like the sun. To make it through the day, to kiss the sweet spot of their pillow before the night may close on all hopes. This is my prayer.

The man had a voice and a talent that were truly otherworldly. His rendition of "For All We Know" is one of my all-time favorite songs. Today Donny would have turned 70 (October 1, 1945). He may no longer be with us but thankfully his voice lives on in his recordings.

Excaliburus Helidias yes...Donny...this song I listened to over and over when Farther passed away. I feel like he was saying these words to me. Amazingly when he passed is when I was introduced to the lyrics. I miss him so much. God knows I do. Donny he did one for real. God Bless Fathers all over the world.

You can't learn how to sing this way! The quality the voice control the perfect and the right amount of vibrato can be enhanced by a vocal teacher however the sweetness the pure resonance and the quality and sweetness of that voice was made by The Master Potter Himself God Almighty! God given talent is what you hear! RIP Donny you were going through some bouts of depression and you took your life one night but I know that Tho some might disagree I believe your in the Hands of The Master Himself!
