I am very ill, on my farewell to a peaceful world, I play this song as a farewell to my husband. I'm so worried about him. A broken man, saying goodbye to the woman he married for 52 years. We as young people in love with Al Green's music danced shuffling, our heads on each other's shoulders. The world seemed endless Now that I am sick and look back, so briefly, it seems like yesterday. Enjoy every precious minute, hour, day, week, month or year. Carpe Diem❤️

My heart goes out to you. My family member did the same in March. We still think of her everyday and about what we could do to prevent it. It is a black hole in your chest. But I tell myself, we will get through this and I pray you find the strength to do that some day. “There will come a day, I promise you, when the thought of your son, or daughter, or your wife or your husband, brings a smile to your lips before it brings a tear to your eye. It will happen. My prayer for you is that day will come sooner than later.”

(Also for those who haven't [but need to] tell someone you love them, a spouse, sibling, friend, or most important, child or parent...tell them.. you don't want to ever live with the fact that you didn't if they pass. Who cares how they respond... tell them. May be the last time)!! Mad love to you all!!

I'm a huge fan of the Bee Gees, but this was always one of my least favorite songs of theirs. Then I heard this version for the first time about 2 months ago. Reverend Al Green gave it the emotion it needed. I absolutely love his version - one of the few songs where the cover is 1000 times better than the original.

I stopped hearing from my girlfriend as frequently. From many emails, calls, and text's to short little quips. Her birthday card to me in April was corny and not filled with love at all. So I asked her in a text, "Are you seeing someone else?" Her answer: "I'm dating casually." So the girl I was going to marry decided to end a 6 year relationship. Talk about a kick in the nuts. I hope she does not end up locked away in a mental hospital for 4 months again when she was in her 20's. I never once stepped out on her. See what trust can bring you?

I lost my daughter 1-5-2020, through deadly fentanyl. My only daughter that was never married and had no children--that was my whole world. She was a talented singer-songwriter. She was very talented and had plans to make a hit someday and help abused children and homeless people with monies earned. This song is what I think of when I replay this song of yours Al. Over and over on my cell phone. This song is exactly how I feel after losing my daughter--Tiffany Dawn Caudill, 43 years of age. The most precious gift given to me--taken forevermore. Nothing will ever be the same after losing my lovely daughter. Thanks Al for your heartfelt music. I love your music and always will. Love you!!

I'm so sorry Charlene. I wish I could've known such a wonderful creative soul like your daughter. It breaks my heart to hear so many suffer from fentanyl being sold on the streets. Reason why I stopped with those club partying days because it's just too risky. But I appreciate your words and sharing your pain. I love you for it and hope you're staying strong. Burn bright and shine on. Tiffany would be happy to see you live on, sharing her story. ❤
