Found these few months ago and been doing lots of reading watching videos and price comparing on eBay as well as my local toy shops and flea markets. I would love to get the full collection with all the accessories. I know it will be costly. But I am not setting a deadline on when I want the collection to be finished. My plan is to start wth the $10, $15 figures. Then move on to the ones with an accessory like hats. Then slowly move up to the expensive ones and then 2 rings on steel one regular and try to make it look like an event. Plan is to get a longer tables and spread them all out. Might need 2 or 3 tables actually to fit them all looking like a main event. I am actually very excited to get started. I hope the excitement will stay during the entire collection process.

Donny what site did you start off with and use most often? I really enjoyed the video and your figures looked super minty and clean

After my trip to the Toy Vault it was probably 99% Ebay and some in my Wrestling Superstars Facebook group. Thanks man.

He's so right about storage! I collect wrestling figures and Starting Lineup Football figures from the 1980s. I have sooo much stuff that i have them in storage bins completely consuming an entire storage room top to bottom. God forbid theres ever a fire. I'd lose $50-$100k worth of collectibles!

Ive actually started contemplating a storage unit but I'd have so much anxiety about them being in a strange place. Plus I'm not sure I could stomach the risk of anything happening to them.

@@DonnyDunnEntertainment My thoughts exactly! Storage units are always a huge risk. Missing/forgetting about payments, possible mildew, almost anything could happen. My storage room is the extra bedroom in my apartment. But storage is definitely a factor not many people consider at first.

About the "block of wood". This very well may have been the real deal. HASBRO did, at one short point of time, start their figures' journey from concept to completed figure by first drawing (or tracing) the design of the figure on a block of wood. This doesn't mean that LJN did the same thing, but it also doesn't mean that they did not, either. That being said, I can say that I don't blame you for being shocked that such an item was sold. I suppose, if it was cheap enough, I would probably go for it, "just in case". When I say "cheap", I mean $20 or so.

I'd just go to home depot. Plenty of blocks of wood there.

The blocks of wood are to form the bubble that holds the figure to the card. I seen Cardona looking at one in a video. It was the wood from a Hasbro figure bubble. I still wouldn't buy that crap regardless of what it is.

Do you still have everything?

The collection grew about 10 times the size of what was covered in this video but I've since sold just about all of it. Just woke up one day and said 'what the hell have I done' and went on a selling rampage.

Ha Ha Ha, I was fine until 5. I've currently got a second LJN ring in the middle of my bedroom floor because I've run out of space.

Hey Donny dun I recently started collecting ljns , Iam having a problem with them turning sticky , have u encountered that and if so do you know a proper way on how to get rid of it?
@DonnyDunnEntertainment5 жыл бұрын
Sure have man. My figures don't necessarily turn sticky but i have received some that did have that texture. Ive heard this is caused by mold or potentially some other chemical might have come into contact with the figure and its causing the rubber to break down. I'd try a warm water soak in something like dawn or another dishwashing liquid with a light scrub. At your own risk though, there's a likelihood of paint removal if you're not careful but ive had decent success with this approach. Another option someone told me is to leave the figure next to a window in sunlight to see if that might dry the figure out. I haven't tried that.
