As a kid, I first started watching the Eagles with my grandpa during the McNabb era. Boy did I learn his name quick. Definitely up there as one of the best QBs to never get a super bowl and to me, deserves to be in the HOF.

Mcnabb was the 3rd best QB during his time only behind Brady and manning , crazy Win percentage playoff wins aswell , and did more than any other QB without weapons . 5 needs some more respect on his name . They gave him T.O for like 18 games and y’all saw what he did .. while manning had Wayne and Harrison , Warner had Bruce and holt and boldin / fitz .. he had nobodies and still was elite

A lot of people don't realize how much of an absolute beast McMabb actually was. He was a problem for defenses. Dude definitely doesn't get the respect he deserves!

I'm a Georgia boy, but for whatever reason the Eagles we're my team from the mid 2000's and on. The main reason why I even started pulling for em is bc of McNabb along with Deuce. The way he was able to extend a play or even make something out of nothing made him such a joy to watch. A perfect example of this being the play against Dallas on a Monday night game in front of the entire nation. He was able to extend the play behind the line of scrimmage for 11 or 12 seconds from the snap before finally throwing a completion to Freddie Mitchell. And it was all bc he had the ability to not just make people miss, but to also turn what looked like a guaranteed sack and a busted play into one of the all time greatest plays ever. He'll always be my favorite QB of all time.

Those years of constant playoff heartbreak didn’t make you quit? I did after they lost Super Bowl XXXIX because I knew the team’s window to get a ring closed after that. IMO McNabb was a turnover machine in the playoffs. The team just didn’t have killer instinct when it mattered Granted I became a fan once again after they finally won it all in 2017.

I've been a Tampa Bay fan since the mid 90s and Donovan McNabb was probably the first player I dreaded Tampa Bay playing. I was always optimistic about facing other big time players. I can't count how many times I yelled at the TV saying something like "are you kidding me!! What the he'll are you doing defense!" or just shook my head in frustration because of him.

I never was a fan of his personality but Mc5 was a beast on the field he lowkey hindered himself by refusing to run in his prime years but even with that he made horrible WR’s look average & the 2 great WR’s he had T.O. & D Jack they looked like Superheroes with him passing to them. Him & T.O. could of easily got like 2 or 3 Superbowls but it is what it is at this point.
