Life is so much better when Mary pays a visit. Wouldn't you all agree? Donovan is so incredibly awesome man. The middle 60's was a very special time and place to be a part of. You could strike sparks anywhere. Peace and Love brother!

in the 70s, I remember listening to this, and the Grateful Dead, and Janis and Jimi at a friends house. there was plenty of pot to go around. We'd all congregate in his special room with beanbag furniture, one bright red light, and all that pot. When I got high, I would laugh hysterically, uncontrollably, at EVERYTHING. I couldnt move, I was laughing so hard. Those were the days... :)

@dannypot420 I will reiterate for the profoundly moronic...Donovan took weed in the early 60s...he packed it in around 64/65. He was never on anything stronger, in fact, he was quite vocal on the matter. Just because he wrote beautiful and insightful lyrics to gloriously ethereal tunes don't don't assume he was on drugs. If you're able, bring me documentary evidence to the contrary. I look forward to seeing it. Peace.

as bill hicks said all the drugs that make us see what is truly what is real and who we really are are illegal yet the ones that numb our thoughts about whats happening in the worlds are not .Take some time think . Forget about your religion or beliefs for one moment and take a deep breath and im sure who you really are and what is happening in the world will look very different ,my thoughtsare we are creatures who have evolved and we continue to evolve ....so let us

@bigcheese1973 Donoban Leitch is married with 4 children. He was a leader of the "Flower Power" movement in the 60's. Most of his music was influenced by his wife. If you don't understand the counter-culture of the 60's, please do some research.
