Holy Sh. We all knew he was coming, but man. This is insane. #18, #16 90.23 avg pl ranking. We're tracking to get a top 15 class. This is exactly what MIC did. Just wait till we have an 11+ win season this year. We're a top 10 team for the foreseeable future. MIZ!

Wow. When you pair those 2 with Terry at WR (his highlights are unreal, must have been playing against 8th graders) in the same class, and a top QB throwing to them... That is going to be dynamic. MIZZOU is the new WR U.

I hadn't heard anyone suggest getting rid of the basketball game. The buzz on Tigerboard was about a future 9 game schedule after next year and some were suggesting dumping the KU game since we'd need to shed one non-con game.

I would rather not see Burden on punt returns. He's had too many injury scares on punt returns, and he has also shown some questionable decision making. I still have flashbacks to that inexplicable decision to try to field that one punt against Wake Forest in the bowl game. I know Marquis Johnson was returning kickoffs, so if he can judge punts well enough, he could be an option there, especially since he doesn't figure to have the same volume of plays on offense as Burden. Daniel Blood may be another option. He returned punts pretty well in high school. I don't think he's as dynamic as either Burden or Johnson, but if he's sure-handed, he could help out there. With the addition of Boggs and Olugbode (as well as Shaun Terry), I'm feeling a lot better about the 2025 receiving corps. I also think Courtney Crutchfield may even be good enough to make an impact this season.

Agreed Burden as a punt returner is questionable at best with his decision making.

Playing KU in football makes so much more sense than BC, and it’s always worth playing them in basketball

Why dont they get a punt returner who is surehanded with speed that is not a starter. That would at least make someone else happy that they get in games. Give others a chance to play. May keep them happy.

Shaun Terry II is probably your guy for returns. He will probable slot as the 3/4 WR behind Boggs and Olugbode. He is very quick as well as fast, his height is the only thing keeping from being a "better" WR but wouldn't affect return game

In a close game I disagree. He's the alpha on the team. Field position is half the battle. Although I do have to say that I'm not sure that he's better at it then Marquis would be. Burden breaks tackles, Marquis 4.4 speed. If you're trying to get 15-20yds Luther, break one Marquis.

That’s part of football. Why would you play scared? If the score is close you put your best guys out there and he’s the best guy.

Yes play KU. It's not like football. You play 30+ games in CBB. It's a great rivalry, fills the stadium, is nationally broadcast & is great for the program. If Gates keeps bringing in top 10 HS & Trans classes, we're going to beat them. I have faith in gates, especially in developing players after what he did with Hidge, Kobe, & East. He turned them all into NBA players. We're going to be good next year.

Punt returners gotta want that smoke. Everyone ain't cut out for that. Luther quite honestly didn't catch the ball half the time or called fair catch. It takes some taters just to even run say 5-10 yards on a whiffed punt to get it with defenders flying towards you rather than let it bounce 30 yards past you. Not to mention actually just consistently returning them with defenders nearby and not just playful one move go down but running through the gauntlet full speed. That kinda business separates people.

Don’t put Burden at punt returner. Save him for the regular offense. Too important….id be fine with just a guy at punt return who is sure-handed and gets a few yards when available.
