Something I have not seen 1 person mention. Trent wants to be a Midfielder. What if Real want him to be a Midfielder. If that is the case then we have 0 chance of keeping Trent. I think if someone like, even a PSG or a Bayen came in and offered Trent 1st team midfield, he might take that transfer just because of that. People under estimate how much stuff like that means to a player. If he wants to play midfield, but plays his whole career at RB, he might never know how good he could have been in the midfield, and that might nag at him. I think Trent is gone 100% and I am not mad at it.
