Great Channel !! Picked up my carbon addition AT4 last week same year as yours, and your channel has been really awesome for mods and more. I just find out that actually, we don't need this Harness to let the spot light on with high beams. All I did was using "All Lights Mod" pin 10 and pin 22 and the spot light on with high beams.. Thank you for sharing all the great mods

Great lighting mod. A bit unrelated but I have a 2021 at4 1500. Don’t have the live rear view mirror but there has to be a way to access the rear camera while driving or in park from the touch screen display. If anyone can find a mod for that it’s you. Great vids 👍

Is there a way to get your side mirror cameras to come on when turning? They do when you are pulling a trailer but think it would be nice when not pulling a trailer.

Great vids. Ideas for more videos - Can you do a video on adding side mirrors (blind spot and camera) and front view camera to AT4. I got a level down from that package and really want the front camera at the very least. Or a video on adding the 2500 side mirrors the the 1500 model

I can’t say for sure, but your head unit would need to be able to accept the camera signals. I don’t know if the coax cables are already ran to connect the cameras too with your model. This website might have some alternative options if not : www.rostra.com/search.php

How do you add off road light and have them tied into your high beams? instead of having a generic switch to turn them on. i know how to do it with regular 12v system but not a can bus system

Find your high beam fuse or positive wire. Then add a 12volt relay to act as on on/off switch for the additional lighting you want to add. The additional lighting can be powered directly from the battery.

I was going to take my vehicle in to the dealership and have them look at my trans and android auto/apple carplay connectivity issues and i have these installed, will i have warranty issues with these installed since they are part of my electrical? I would hate for them to say my head unit connectivity issues are associated with these electrical mods. Wondering if i need to uninstall these! Thanks!

I think you could leave it all, but that’s my opinion. If you did remove the wiring, leaving the ‘T’ taps in place should be fine since they wouldn’t be connected to anything at that moment.

You still running this mod Don? I’ve got a 2023 Sierra 1500. Check engine light on after install. Did the “all lights high beam” mod, no issues. Did the “fog lights on with headlights” mod, no issue. But after doing this mod, check engine light now on. Confirmed all t taps are In correct location. Mirror lights work as they should with high beams, just disappointed to see it throws the check engine light after this last mod. Any info or update would be appreciated.

I would get the CEL scanned and find out what triggered it. A lighting mod like this, I don’t think would cause a CEL. Maybe one of the BCM plugs wasn’t seated in all the way?

I just bought a Silverado with auto high beams, I want to have to have the dogs on at all times with the low and high beams but still have the auto high beam feature, can I use the fog light mod and just tie it into the low beams also? And then a second one into the high beams?

You may want to ask BoostAutoParts to be sure (give them the model & year) and ask. I think that once the fog light circuit is active, it cancels the auto high beam feature

Depends in the mod. Several rely on using a diode. This one uses a relay and a fused power wire

Hi there! The mod I have only adds the 'on with high-beams' function to their normal functionality. you'd need the other mod for other functions.

The fog lights on my '20 silverado come on with the button even if the high beam is on. I see majority of videos on YT don't have it that way.. I wonder if it's all about programming instead of wirings.

Hey Don does the truck need to be moving for it to work or turn on spots when the high beams are switched? Reason I ask is that I bought the same exact wiring harness and followed the video boost auto recommends to use and trying it there in my drive way they don’t come on when I switch the high beams. I verified the wiring even with your video and still nothing. Hadn’t had a chance to drive it yet and verify but just thought I asked won’t be at my house to try it for another couple of days.

Yes the spotlights will on work two ways : Original functionality - While in park by pressing the button OR when the high beams are on parked or driving. Remember the spotlights will stay on when the high beams are on with this mod.

Haha I was hoping someone would come up with a way to replace them with small light bars (brighter than they are now) but this is a good substitute! Thank you! This particular mod only allows the ability to have them on with the High Beams. Otherwise they will only function while in park (normal option). They sell a mod that I mention early in the video that will let the spot lights work whenever you hold down the spotlight button. I believe that will allow them to work with the low beams

Yes they can wire up to be on with the low beams. Instead of wiring to the high beam pin you can wire to the parking lamp pin which is always on with low beams. Did it in my truck with some aftermarket lights and dark black tint (to dull the light).

Highly unlikely. The manufacturer has to be able to prove a fault is due to the modification. There is a law to protect the consumer. Since these are mods turning lights on and fused, I have no reservations

These light mods are great for off road but the people are using them on city streets and highway’s blinding on coming traffic. The factory lights are bright enough for regular driving so in that case I don’t think they should be put on and be against the law.

OEM GM part numbers Mirrors - 84776098 LH Door Harness - 84622371 RH Door Harness - 84622372 Color is Black and are Manual Fold, Manual Extend. Features - Heated, Power Adjustable, Amber running rights, LED Cargo Lights & Turn Signals in the front of mirrors Kit includes 2 mirrors and authorization code needed for BCM Calibration by a GM Dealer. Must have DLF mirrors without Task lighting & Lane Change Alert Requires new door harnesses no matter what.

I would consider contacting BoostAutoParts and seek advice. Their mods typically tap into the control side of the circuit in the BCM. You may not have a wire in the the BCM to tap in to.
