Disagree on Giscard. He brings aoe Provoke for faction wars. Turn off his A2, and he's solid early to mid game in Clan Boss with his increase attack and defense a3. Then he's constantly applying decrease attack on the CB.

Agreed, I used Valla for a very long time as one of those champions that smacks and just didn't wanna die. In Arena she was always the last woman standing and often stole the victory from the jaws of defeat as a result. And like Valla there's several champions that can be like that quite easily for earlier-game players.

I just want to say that Lodric (<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="620">10:20</a>) is a good shield-champ for Borgoth. He has only 2 turn CD for his shields. For an epic is this really nice.

You completely missed Frenzi the Cackler's A1 (Skinwalkers) - if there is an HP burn on an enemy (whether placed by her OR any other champion) her A1 can trigger an extra instance of the MAX HP damage. She is an S tier DEF nuker and crowd controller with her A3 AOE provoke which also increases her own DEF and corresponding damage. Her passive is insane since every time an HP burn triggers her DEF increases (by up to a total 20%). I got a 5 star perfect soul for her and selected Cruelty for her blessing and her A2 (HP burn) will land 3x of Cruelty on a boss since it's a triple hit ability. I also have full masteries on her and picked helm smasher to synergize with cruelty.

Hey HH! Much as I love your vids, I have to wonder who is the intended audience for this one? Crazy end-game spenders, who won't as much as even look at anything below a void legendary? Because - for a casual player? - Giscard can be a pretty good investment, for instance. Does he bring unkillable + irresistible HP burns and team cleanses? Nope, but for what he is? He's cool. Stack DEF and ACC on him, and guy doesn't even need SPD to keep rotating and locking things down. Canoness? 2 turn DEF increase, ally protect and continuous heal on a 2 turn CD, plus leech and ACC decrease with a 6x DEF hit is trash? She hits the Clan Boss for 100K... What's our bar here, sir? 😅 Cheers!

I'm a mid spender (maybe $400 total) over a 3 1/2 year period. Honestly, for me everything changed after I beat faction wars. I don't have an insane account, but by the time you beat that.. 90% of my epics aren't used much after that. Simply getting shards from unm CB and saving up for fusions will eventually build a legendary roster that pushes most epics out. So for me it wasn't that I was spending money, it was more about doing daily CB for a few years, and eventually you end up phasing out a ton of epics. I do find myself starting to revisit some epics I have ignored for a long time for cursed city though. So I guess to me better Guage ofbuild ir don't build relies heavy on whether or not you have your faction wars beat.

Yeah, I'm revisiting video's like this every once in a while to see what used to be. but Oh man. Barbarians is a factionthat was always over-represented on my account. And he called Valla and Kallia in one breath useless. A few tidbits (especially now with Sintranos) Valla smacks and she's been one of my tanks from the very beginning, destroys shields from the enemy and then smack like hell. Kallia.. Even now she the ONE SOLE champion I can use against frost spider in sintranos. She's the only available burner I have that is capable of keeping that pos down. Both these barbs are definately not bad. And thats just 2 examples where you can easily rebuttle half this entire video.

Hell Hades calls 80% of my roster trash! Such is the reality of free-to-play. I get very few epics, so I have to keep all of them, or I would have almost none. When watching this video, remember Hell Hades gets infinite duplicates of epics, and he compares them to legendaries.

For Faction Wars especially, you have to play the hand you are dealt. Lots of the Content Creators assume that you have all the epics. But you have to look at your own account and determine what is best for your progression.

Thanks for the annual review. It's interesting so see which champions have fallen into the "Trash" category due to power creep. I watch these videos to know what I can safely use as food. Although Cursed City can trick you sometimes. And of course, some of the marginal or bad champions can be very handy early to mid-game depending on what else you have.

2 epics I have relied on - Pann and Hoskarul. Both are in my faction teams. Pann put me over the edge in Sylvan Watchers since none of them do damage. Pann does decent damage and has some control.

nogoryo actually is a good nuker, he is a tier below genbo interm of nuker kits but damage wise they're on the same level, and he has lockout skill and block buffs and buff steal.

Had some fun actually using Relickeeper against Tainted Skavag in Sintranos... he cleaned up the spiderlings with extra turn after extra turn and dropped the big Spider down in the process.

Delaaja can be very useful against the Scarab in Sintranos. I paired two of her with an Aox (because of his passive increasing her poisons and her passive counterattacking constantly (since Aox is also a Lizardman)) in the first rotation (if I’m remembering the rotations correctly).

@@littlearrow1610 That's the thing, I don't have a reviver in sacred order. in fact only Mistress is the non-void and non-legendary that can revive in that faction, he didn't even bother reading the kit and it's literally 2 turn cooldown continuous heals. Lots of CCs recommend building faction wars champ regen gears to sustain, but aren't continuous heals offer the same? you just need her to be fast and that's basically free regens for everyone.

Jotunn is super useful for early clan boss; his 4 turn hp burn is the longest Lasting burn, and it's on a 3 turn cooldown. Excellent for frost spider. And use a debuff spreader, hp burn on all enemies for 4 turns, not a bad mechanic. Underrated.

Ambassador Lethelin is amazing in hydra with a Hex Set he can deal with multiple heads or just faction wars with a stun set .. He controls, taunts, cleanses and heals all while having great base stats and 106 speed he is very far from a "trashy champ".

I actually disagree with Zelotah, I think he's quite good. He has an 40% (booked) Shield on all allies based on HIS HP for 3 turns and also brings 15% heal on all allies for 2 turns. The sleeps are just a good addition to his kit.

did you nuke the reviews for the buffed champions? Because Supreme Athel is a lot better now than she's rated when she was bad. the reviews of buffed champions need to be reset once the buff is live. Both in game and on the popular websites (yours and Ayumi's). Occult Brawler is an absolute beast. I fought him in Tag team arena and he just wouldn't die, I had to give up, because I didn't want to sit there all day, my champions didn't die either.

Relickeeper is my farmer for nightmare campaign even after 3 years. Not trash and the only guaranteed champ farmer in the game. Since you can get him really early, 100% build out. You can do better, but he is one you can build and never have to re-visit him other than to make him better.

I have to disagree on both Lady Annabelle and Valla... Annabelle has been crazy for me... She is incredible in Arena, good in dungeons and with her passive, and with the "Crushing Rend" blessing... She is beyond amazing... She has been so helpful to me... Can also be used in Clan boss Valla, honestly is amazing, Removes shields from enemies then attcks them then places Decrease defense on them... She places a shield buff and increase def on herself for three turns, while also boosting her turn meter... Her passive reduces incoming damage while under a shield buff... Great video by the way...

Also, if fully booked, she can do: Rip shields, then Decrease def 60% for 2 turn on a 2-turn CD with her A2, which smacks like a truck. Place a 20% shield (HP-base) & 60% increase def for 3 turns, also on a 2-turn CD, this skill also increase turnmeter by 50%! I can't believe how he underrated her, given what she can do and how hard she's to kill.

The reflect damage isn't great with wuuzgar for fire knight because he places it alongside a shield. The reflect damage will not hit the fire knight shield unless the fire knight breaks through your team's shield with his attack.

almost feel like these sorts of videos are a bit pointless now with sintranos, because even the "useless" options might be the only option if you need a specific mechanic in a particular faction ole restricted stage when you start trying to 100% it. with that said, always appreciate the content and effort spent to create it!

Just throwing this out there but this is a very fast review that doesn’t explain how overall they may be “ trash “ but for 1 or 2 areas in the game they are usable. Just saying new players will find tons of use with these “ trash “ champs in faction wars. Plus this is a strategy based game , we have seen time and time again “ trash “ champs come back to become godlike when a new comp , unit , or buff comes out and opens up a new possibility we may not have known , seen , or had access too originally. Overall agree but just throwing that out there as I imagine new players will find this video useful.

Nia is a lot better than you make her out to be. I use Nia almost everywhere in PVE content. Her A1 does do some decent damage and can farm brutal campaign, plus she is tough to kill. I do use her in a few of my Ice Golem teams, and she is used in one of my Hydra teams. Great for Doom tower hard as well for keeping your team alive in longer battles. And of course, a great champion for faction wars. My only gripe about Nia is that I wish she had the big version of strengthen, and her multipliers just a little bit higher on her A1. Other than that, awesome support tank Geomancer, I can't figure out how anyone can use him in clan boss unless it's on Maneater unkillable teams. I have a friend that uses Geo in his team but he dies rather quickly. And his passive doesn't start to ramp up till later in the fight.
