He grew up playing all types of sports and nearly became a golf pro alongside a Rugby Union pro but ultimately chose Rugby League. He grew up in New Zealand so he definitely has all the off the cuff vision and play style which is what everyone loves and for me personally, Top 3 passers in the game, absolutely stunning.

Kalyn Ponga plays for the New Castle Knights, during State of Origin, he has played for the Queensland Maroons. He's a Queenslander but also a New Zealander I believe. He has played alongside other New Zealanders during NRL All stars which is a cultural Match Up between the Mãoris and Indigenous NRL players.

During each set, the offense can be tackled 5 times, on the 5th tackle, they have to kick the ball and play. Some times they play the ball if they're confident they can score a try before getting tackled. If they get tackled on the 5th tackle, they have to changeover. Which means they give the ball to the opponents to play. So Kalyn Ponga is a Fullback, so was Jarred Hayne. Their job as fullbacks is to kick on the 5th tackle, it's usually their skill. They also kick conversions usually after scoring a try. They also kick penalty goals and Field goals.

Hey brother im an Aussie/PNG lad. Lovin your videos too. Bro the best way to learn the game is watch some full games... recommend state of origin. Rugby League is the toughest impact sports in the world. Basically the field is 100m long 50m wide. Same idea as NFL in you have to get the ball over the try line. In our case you have to ground the ball over the line. You have 6 tackles per set to get as far up the field as possible or score a try = 4 points. Usually take 5 tackles and then kick or punt the ball up field then defend for 6 tackles. Its all about getting field position to score points. However only one team on the field at all times. Teams consist of 13 players on the field and 4 on the bench any can be subbed at any time but only 8 subs a game. Game goes for 80mins, 2 40 min halves

I would watch some tape on Billy Slater, his try saving tackles would be a highlight alone. He's scored more tries than anyone and changed the way fullback was played. He was the smallest man in the game destined to be a jockey but had a grudge as big as the the state he loved.Go Queensland
