Wot a lovely hotel great decor, 6" wide-screen TV, chest of drawers ample room for one pair of socks and pants, but no need for extra pants as they supply you with not one but 2 pairs of pants absolutely free of charge. King size bed standard in all of its room, headboard comes semi-detached, Egyptian cotton sheets pure luxury, not forgetting the lovely bay windows for those sea views, amazing 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Hi. We stayed here last year. Our room was similar though we didn't have the spare underwear. Our room was on the other side from where yours seems to be. We could see the big blue hotel and the big one ride. Our curtain fell down first time we shut them. The room was only big enough for one really but there were four of us. We'd booked a family room... We had our 'built in wardrobe' in the shower room - same style as yours. The draws were minging. It could have been better - even clean would have been good. Thanks

I stayed in a lovely little bed and breakfast place in Lythams St. Annes. The house was a Victorian/Edwardian terrace, but the rooms were spotlessly clean with a bathroom with shower. The breakfast was superb and the dining room was full of happy friendly holidaymakers. However this was 1977. From the videos I have seen recently Blackpool seems to have taken a trip downhill.

Sounds like you have good taste when choosing a place, an area to stay, have you ever been to the Dalmeny resort hotel in Lytham St Anne's on sea, I highly recommend it, everything about it is absolutely spot on. My family & I have been going to the Dalmeny for the past 13 years!

I worked in a St.Annes Hotel in the 70 s and believe me ! employed as a chamber Maid and we had to clean the bedrooms bathrooms spotless...and all the rooms checked after cleaning....in a competitive market cleanliness a must ! I think standards gone down !

Did you stay and pay? Sometimes the cleanest looking ones are the ones with bugs hidden but the concerning thing is the locked window but you could have checked that right away as health and safety. We booked an extra night in a large hotel in Oban after staying smaller one fully booked for other night. Shower did not work and neither did TV and raining outside, were miffed when I asked these to be sorted and offered the £100 for the night back so we went home on the next nearby train.

I wouldn't dream of staying at a B&B these days, there are plenty budget chain hotels like travel lodge, Ibis etc where you'll know what to expect and might actually have some come-back if things go wrong. If you wanted come-back at that place you'd just need to lick the bedding.

how did the council and the fire brigade pass this hotel as the fire brigade have to inspect all hotels and new builds etc for adequate fire escape this is appalling needs showing to the trading standards agency and the ombudsman and the hotel inspectorate

went to blackpool this feb 2 days of good weather booked the cliffton hotel but after seeing one bad review after another cancelled and booked the big blue hotel cost a bit more but was spot on and would recommend it reviews can be varied but when you see lots of bad ones it tells you something the cliffton is very cheap but the old maxim you only get what you pay for really does apply here hope this saves some one a big disappointment good luck

I've stayed at many great places in Blackpool, but also some not so good. Usely the not so good ones are when you either don't read the reviews or you book purely because it's dirt cheap! - there's a lesson in that 'dirt' 'cheap'! A good standard double in Blackpool should be 60/70/80/90 pound a night including breakfast. I would assume this room wasn't costing that. Try North Shore, in general the accommodation is great and apart from anything else, it's the better end of Blackpool for many reasons

I go to a hotel not to use the tv or bother about the window opening etc. In fact that window safety device is to stop children and people fallen out. I dont open pillow cases etc. I simply either get ready in the room then return after a night out and close my eyes. It's never going to be like home but i don't expect it to. You go to Blackpool because its cheap and cheery. Thats what makes it a fun alternative place to visit

thank god i never had the misfortune of staying here ! .....that said ....there are many hotels in Blackpool that once upon a time prospered when the trade was there ..but sadly Blackpool aint what it used to be (not a patch on when i used to go as a kid in the 80s) and what were big hotels then don't get the custom ect so they dont have money coming in to spend on the upkeep like they had in the hey day of blackpool .......THAT SAID no excuse of at least kepping up some sort of standard! ...as of 2018 Looking on google maps the Albany seems to have changed hands ( or maybe just had a name change) to Hotel Chevalier ...tgrying to find reviews on line for it BUT not realy found any so far ....its listed on yell but no reviews .....be intersting to fing out what its like now!

Blackpool used to be lovely to visit. I didn't realise how rough it had become at night until I stayed there in 2010. I was happily walking back to my hotel when two young women, looking very concerned, came up to me and advised me to get a taxi instead.
