DONT WASTE MONEY ON G-Shock DW 5600

The G-5600UE is definitely worth considering, I've always been a fan of solar recharging as it is relatively maintenance-free over a longer period than a battery replacement. I have a 1998 G-Shock DW-9350 Raysman module, with solar that still works. When I chose this watch, I was looking for the cheapest, solar-powered, G-Shock square. I use it as my daily driver, in place of my G-Shock 5000 series squares.

Raysman is indeed impressive. It’s unfortunate that Casio has discontinued many of their iconic timepieces.

Big mistake to take g-shock to local watch guys. Major reason is the case structure inside is complex to fit back after repair/service. Secondly G-Shocks which are more on the high end should always be registered on their website and extra warranty should be bought which is a minimal amount. One thing to correct is that the battery of the solar watches will last for 20-30 years in ideal conditions, but many users have mentioned that after rough usage, and using the light and alarm functions daily and excessively and direct solar charging under harsh sun and quality of air/humidity around the watch will hamper it's life by approx 5-10 years or so. So the tough solar battery can live from 5 to 30 years, all depends on the how we take care of it regardless of the rough use;.. because we can never imagine wearing automatics/mechanical watches for daily use, but G-Shock is a daily wear.

Regarding battery/capacitor I was having same views because every part have their life span but the Casio website mentioned otherwise. But I agree on your battery point also 5-30 years. And yes It was not a mistake it was a blunder that I went to the wrong place for the replacement. Now it’s hurt me a lot because that was my favourite watch I lobed that more than 5600, the best thing the watch was from famous mudman series.

I had same water problem with my g shock . I removed back cover and kept in sun for 6 hour daily for 3 days. Then kept in rice vessel closed bin with open back. Then after a week watch started working.

Tanveer bhai you are absolutely right. If you compare solar model with normal 5600, you will find blurriness in solar model digits. And I must tell you, this watch is not the toughest, not equipped with all the high tech function, not the coolest, not the funkiest. But this watch has got all the ingredients which make this watch is the best tool watch.Right. Old school is the main USP of this watch. Because we talk lot about new, but in heart ❤️ we know that we like the old, classy, minimalist things.

Recenty bought 5600 - ue I have few doubts on this 1. Backside of the dial it is mentioned made in Thailand But on the strap edge they mentioned casio china. Do u know y ? 2. In the website discription they mentioned the item weight as 51 grams. I have checked the weight of the watch and it weighs only 47.5 grams. Can u please check the same witu ur watch and confirm.

Push Mode- Adjust- Light button at same time. TLT will come in the watch and then tilt the watch 0000 will come, that’s means your watch is original. And the best way is register your watch with Casio. If watch get registered that means it’s original.

Rahil bhai. It’s not scratch proof, but it’s different. Jab bhi bezel ko scratch hoga ya impact hoga, you will see the mark but it will go, kuch time that surface will become soft. Very hard to explain. In review aap mudman dekh sakte ho usko mene 8 year se jyada use kiya hai and I am field engineer mujhe electrical mechanical infrastructure me kaam karna padta hai, tough tough areas me kaam karna padta hai compare to other jobs, sabse jyada impact hota hai hands par, fir bhi watch ki condition aap dekh sakte ho. In shorts scratch nahi ate scuffs aate hai, you will love that because your watch will look more badass😂. You can blindly buy any G-Shock. You won’t regret. The UE is the updated model with new module 3496. The U stands for UPDATED. The E is the older model with old module 3160. The new module has an LED backlight and the time of day is displayed in the chrono function. The older model has an EL backlight and the time of day is not displayed in the chrono.
