It gets a bit sadder when you realize that Yasha, the diety of melancholy, went out with a smile. As for the last fight itself, it was so that Asura was capable of harvesting the Mantra Reactor to now regulate his Wrath, as prior he was literally too angry that his body couldn’t handle it (hence his Berserker form). If Asura had knew about what he did, he wouldn’t had fight Yasha to begin with, so he decided to go out with a bang and give Asura a final fight with what power he had left (him smiling was the last of his strength).

Also if i remember correctly the reason why Yasha was capable to fight on that level of strenght was because at the time he was melancolic as shit, wasnt it?

Friendly reminder that Yasha was able to give Asura that much of a fight, despite the fact that he was , basically, alredy dying and was powered by only his Mantra type as the Deity of Melancholy He might have betrayed everything he cared about for what he believed to be the greater good, but he redeemed himself and went out like a G.O.A.T

One thing I wanna point out. All the Mantra, these 7 TRILLION souls the Deities collected? They're gone. They vanished when Asura and Yasha destroyed the Karma Fortress. Yasha gave Asura the Mantra Reactor not to boost Asura's power, but to mamage it. YES. He is ALREADY as powerful as 7 TRILLIONS worth of souls, his body just couldn't handle the power. He just built different.

​@zuldfateh Yeah, it's a storage that let's him him use his full potential without the excess energy killing him. And it also let's him use the Mantras of the other Generals. It's why you see his aura be like a rainbow instead of just red.

The reason you had to do all of that Just for a cutscene is because that was meant to be a cliffhanger for the sequel. As time went on the devs realized the game would not be successful enough for Bandai to greenlight a sequel, so instead they made a "true ending" DLC so the game wouldn't have an unresolved cliffhanger.

36:30 - the Mantra Reactor has the power of the Eight generals. After death of one of them all of his/her mantra come to Mantra reactor. Now it's inside Asura's body. But the only mantra that left is Yasha's. So he takes his own core to Asura and still he connected to it and the Mantra reactor is still don't have full mantra of Yasha and he's still alive. He need to die to give his full power to Asura. And Asura's power will be absolute
